Week of January 24, 2005

Jan 24 Monday
We start the week with a void of course Cancer Moon. Follow the path of least resistance just as a river does. Let your soul guide you to discovering the right attitude for being at the right place at the right time. If we look back while on such a journey, we may see how distorted and bruising the familiar path was compared to drifting while following the beckoning of an inner guide. At 4:21 pm, MST, the Moon enters Leo, arousing our passion to express ourselves. Celebrate the full Moon tonight. She’s at her peak at 3:32 am, Tuesday morning.

Jan 25 Tuesday
Tuesday’s Leo Moon may find some of us singing a new tune. There’s a sense of fog having lifted and getting caught up in the landscape as if for the first time. We want to exchange ideas with those who see the world as we do. There is much to show and share. We may feel wide open to an endless array of things to play with, to flirt with, and to engage others with. For some, things might not be what they seem to be, and get approached with apprehension. For others, things might seem like being in a gigantic, adult fantasy land, and it’s time to let the fun rip out.

Jan 26 Wednesday
With a Leo Moon this Wednesday, exert your presence with self-contained poise in whatever space you find yourself. Before you give out information, however, know that some of us might get obsessed by our own biases and verge into the realm of proselytizing. This can turn others off, no matter how perfect one’s ideas are. At 3:39 pm, MST, the Moon goes void of course for the rest of the day. We may be inclined to play in and with our imaginations. And others may be influenced by our creative ideas if we leave options open.

Jan 27 Thursday
The Moon is in Virgo this Thursday, helping us clarify how the full moon’s revelations can be used to change some attitude or belief. Virgo can take in the panoply of life over the past couple of weeks and pierce to the core of it to find the unifying field. This penetration brings illumination that can be used to liberate certain routine patterns. Make feasible adjustments so that your realizations have an impact on the course of your life. Give some serious thought to designing a strategy that can re-align your daily life with your present sense of your destiny.

Jan 28 Friday
This Friday is charged with an intense energy to connect with people who have a powerful attunement to similar personal goals. The Virgo Moon helps us reflect on specific personal attributes as well as those of potential partners or assistants. This keen discernment can guide us to exchange ideas with people of like minds and skills. Harnessing the energy today can lead to fascinating observations and insights. Jan 29 SaturdaySaturday starts out with a Virgo Moon entering her disseminating phase, making it very clear to us what we have changed, or not, in our attitudes and/or behavior. It’s time to sum up where we’re at and decide how we want to express it. The Moon goes void of course at 2:07 pm, MST, for slightly over an hour, an interlude to ponder a vaster awareness. At 3:13 pm, the Moon enters Libra and highlights social situations on Sunday that present opportunities to share your dreams and visions with others.

Jan 17 Monday
We start the week with a first quarter Taurus Moon alluring us forward as if every action is precious. There’s a sense of productivity prompted by our perceptions of what constitutes success. Don’t miss today’s opportunities to mix socially. They may provide the group dynamics for insights into which attachments keep you meandering around, but not towards, an ideal. Discovering how, and with whom, to get from where you are to where and how you want to be, often takes the willingness to let the old, familiar order of arrangements in one’s life collapse.

Jan 18 Tuesday

Early this Tuesday with a Taurus Moon there may be a sense of pushing away from some cozy nest. Stir up determination to grow into your ideal. Enlarge whatever that is by bringing to mind all the people who demonstrate any or many aspects of it. Think of this as pooling resources and linking in spirit with others. Be thankful that there are models that can inspire you to find your own way of attaining that ideal. Don’t abandon your journey because of some foreign nature that it brings up. The unfamiliar dwells within and without, and is an inherent part of change.

Jan 19 Wednesday

Wednesday’s Taurus Moon enhances sensitivity to the inner essence of things. This perception boosts our trust in a chosen course of action and the alliances involved. For five minutes, from 3:19 pm to 3:24 pm, MST, the Moon will be in that ungrounded state of being void of course. Then she will enter Gemini, followed by the Sun an hour later entering Aquarius. Both of these air signs make it easy to take co-workers and friends at face value. And reflection on social experiences today can lead to some outrageous possibilities to move away from old patterns.

Jan 20 Thursday

The Gemini Moon often focuses on the linear, logical, and rational amidst the diversity it reflects. Today there’s a penchant for fantasy which might show itself in sentimentalizing over relationships from one’s past. To keep from excessive praise of past liaisons, bounce the details of former connections off another person. Serious conversations about the harmony or disharmony one has found with friends and acquaintances can reveal information about what you are seeking from others and how you let some people be a diversion from your journey.

Jan 21 Friday

We have a gibbous Moon in Gemini this Friday with which we can utilize mental techniques like hindsight or fast forward to channel activities towards desired outcomes and ward off disasters. The Moon goes void of course at 2:26 pm, MST, for over thirteen hours. During this wide open period, intuition can be increased. Subtleties, previously not noticed, may show up. Pessimism may also creep in. . Listen to MoonWise tomorrow at 11:30 to noon for the weekend Moon Minute. You can also hear us on the worldwide web at ksfr.org

Jan 22 Saturday

We have a Cancer Moon for the weekend supporting our awareness of a lot of factors involved in fostering friendship. It’s as if we have x-ray and aerial vision, seeing not only beneath the surface of relationships but also the broad territory of our lives that gets entangled with them. This can help us get a sense of what we can depend on from others. On Sunday, if we reach beyond the shelter of our homes, there’s the possibility of receiving just what is needed for fully realizing how to evolve amidst diverse social influences. This may simply involve telephone exchanges.
