Week of Crescent Phase

Apr 11 Monday
The Taurus Moon is in that transitory state of being void of course until late this afternoon. A sense of loss may prevail that cannot be dismissed with material consumption. It is a sense of missing a fundamental connection to our roots, to that which gives us the core of our identity and sustains our self worth. Through one or all of our senses we can find clues as to where or how we can retrieve that bond. At 4:55 pm, MDT, the Moon slips into Gemini, and there’s an inkling of things starting to fit together surprisingly. And tensions get relieved!

Apr 12 Tuesday
The Moon is in Gemini, and Mercury is no longer retrograde! So something that has been dormant or incubating is being aroused and revealing itself. And the Moon enters her crescent phase at 7:38 am, MDT, telling us it’s time to act upon whatever has emerged since last Friday, relying on the past is not enough. Something needs reformulating and that revision might involve protesting, speaking out, going after one’s rights. Disregard appearances; get to the essence of what is needed; evoke beliefs, principles, moral codes; and be optimistic!

Apr 13 Wednesday
This morning’s Gemini Moon may find some of us frustrated in trying to recall some illusive, irritating scene from our dreams or from some piece of literature or film. It may seem that this information can provide greater understanding about innovations in process now. Lighten up! Sometimes that fussing energy just blocks our memory. Attend to present, immediate needs. Shifting attention to essentials can often trick the block to let go of its guard. Freeing up our thoughts can attract what we’re seeking if we have been clear about our objectives.

Apr 14 Thursday
Thursday’s Cancer Moon nurtures the unfolding drama of this lunar cycle, helping us get an overview of a looming pattern. Cancer is a sign that favors the past, so it might be difficult to puncture the illusion of old comfortable habits being safer than trying to develop something unfamiliar. Think of how better off life can be when potential is developed. All it takes is enduring some finite ordeal that delivers a clearer, expanding life. It can feel like painting or remodeling a home for the first time. Let adaptability and courage fuel the journey.

Apr 15 Friday
Friday’s Cancer Moon helps navigate somewhat turbulent waters approaching a fork. We are nearing a time in the lunation cycle when we need to begin to develop its general theme in our own individualistic way. It is characteristic of Cancer to face a pushing away from the Mother or mother ship to midwife one’s own creations. Today we may merge with a structure, a river bed, that promises to arouse our emotions and our core passions. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow at 11:30 to noon for the weekend Moon Minute. Apr 16 Saturday
The Cancer Moon enters her first quarter phase at 8:37 am, MDT, and begins an almost seven hour void of course period. This is a time to give one’s all to a task, or more specifically to develop the theme of resurrecting one’s spiritual identity. The wide open, void Moon suggests we set aside some sacred space for this endeavor. This second quarter of the Moon’s cycle supports strong, raging emotions directed at social contrivances that seemingly shelter us yet not enough, and justifiably so. Without some exposure we would not see our shadows and know what to make of them! At 3:17 pm the Moon moves into Leo for the rest of Saturday and all day Sunday. Purposely seize opportunities!
