Last Week of Lunation Cycle

May 2 Monday
Moonday starts with a void of course last quarter Aquarius Moon, suggesting we ponder the advances possible today before engaging in activities. At 8:43 am, MDT, the Moon moves into Pisces, where, if we surf out of fear and wade into love, and trust in an uncertain future, we can channel a vague jumpiness into some high-spirited action. Our surroundings may seem chaotic and unpredictable. Even if we feel out of control and unable to maneuver, our feelings can be our navigator through turbulence to calmness while approaching the unknown.

May 3 Tuesday
Tuesday’s Pisces Moon draws us into that mysterious phenomenon of experiencing a feeling of participating with others in something bigger than ourselves-the participation mystique. This can be playfully easy or awkward feeling. Cosmic forces zoom in and out between details and the overview, presenting us with, perhaps, an internal dialogue about how we approach personal vs. team behavior and involvement. Watch for situations that bring up your resistance shield, as well as those that bring you into a group think that feels friendly and empowering.

May 4 Wednesday
Wednesday starts out with a void of course Pisces Moon. Good luck getting out of bed, if you must! During this period at 11:26 am, MDT the Moon enters her balsamic phase, a time of impregnation. A seed is fertilized and has multiple possibilities for its future. And what is most important at this time is to strip away, release, all the expectations of what the seed will become, yet be confident that it will endure. At 12:36 pm, the Moon moves into Aries. Go for what counts! Engage in everything, and be willing to let go of everything!

May 5 Thursday
With today’s Aries Moon there can be plenty of excitement over the freedom to go in fresh directions. Yet during these last few days of the Moon’s cycle it is important to be focused within one’s self. The journeys that suddenly appear are to be made with one’s imagination. We are to utilize our capacity to visualize. Once we have chosen a context or situation to pursue, we can create the blueprint with our mind’s eye. And we can also see if there are any obstacles in the form of antiquated crystallized behavior that we can chip away.

May 6 Friday
Friday morning at 7:22, MDT, the Aries Moon goes void of course for almost eight and a half hours! Things are not as clear as we’d like them to be during this time. There’s a tendency to avoid the usual activities. A sense of disorientation may prevail. Efforts can be inadequate to satisfy expectations. So drop all expectations and imagine or pretend that you are on a journey into the unfamiliar which can end at 6:01 pm, when the Moon enters Taurus and things start seeming more solid. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow at 11:30 to noon for the weekend Moon Minute. You can also hear us on the worldwide web at ksfr.org

May 7 Saturday
We have a Taurus Moon for the weekend! Saturday is the last day of this lunation cycle, emphasizing the benefits of detaching, whether it’s from work or relationships, talents or obligations. At 2:45, MDT, Sunday morning we have a new Moon and a very dark night! The Sun and the Moon are both in Taurus initiating a theme of purposeful task orientation. Our assignment is to look at how we use our resources. What is our relationship to our personal gifts, not just all those material objects but also those intangibles like trustworthiness, stability, and generosity.
