Crescent & First Quarter Moon

July 11 Monday
A crescent Virgo Moon begins this week helping us discern how to blend polarities, whether it’s the past with envisioned futures, or parts of ourselves that are well-known and well-worn with emerging self-insights. By the end of the day the direction of this lunar cycle maybe clearly outlined. Especially if we have responded to inner pressures to make adjustments that align with our ideals, or if we’ve simply heeded our desires to get through blockages. Utilizing some self-discipline and self-analysis can help us find fresh approaches that allow in new elements.

July 12 Tuesday
Tuesday morning’s Virgo Moon suggest we diligently mobilize our attention towards resolving our own problems by utilizing the wisdom of spiritual adepts. At 1:12 pm, MDT, the Moon goes void of course for almost an hour. During which it may be difficult to maintain one’s focus. At 2:09 pm, the Moon enters Libra, underscoring our awareness of polarities and the diplomacy needed to cope with them. In this cycle we face such polar themes as: indulgence versus stringency, enjoyment versus repulsion, obstruction versus advancement.

July 13 Wednesday
Wednesday’s Libra Moon conjoins with Jupiter and reminds us of that there are always two sides of an issue to be kept in balance. Lunar themes such as security face the Jupiterian theme of freedom. Do we stay at home today or go out? Do we stick with our pleasing old habits and risk self-deception? Or do we cultivate new potentials and extend our self-knowledge? More than likely, we’ll do both. Libra likes the middle ground, the lingering between being responsible and not being responsible. It’s sort of like going for the chocolate after eating lots of vegetables.

July 14 Thursday
The usually composed Libra Moon seeks fun and adventure today as she enters her first quarter phase at 9:20 am, MDT. It’s time for action, and this month calls for dramatic, refreshingly honest deeds that usher in new elements that can withstand intellectual criticism. Can you literally strut across your personal boundaries and beckon more, perhaps even of a foreign nature, into your circle/space? Libra can quickly assess situations and encompass open-ended complexities. And ultimately find the right place for everything, even the subtleties.

July 15 Friday
Friday’s pregnant Scorpio Moon feeds us with images of how to magnify things. Deep urges and resonating moods guide us in a renewal of our creative juices. We may search for a soul-to-soul connection to help us adapt to new circumstances. A highly sensitive friend may be just the guide that’s needed to help us probe deeper to uncover hidden resources. Notice which techniques produce progress and keep using them. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow at 11:30 to noon for the weekend Moon Minute. You can also hear us on the worldwide web at ksfr.org.

July 16 Saturday
Saturday’s Scorpio Moon feels like shedding an old framework to allow a new reality visibility. Yet it may be difficult to demonstrate this. Individually or in one-to-one relationships we may see its essence and feel its powerful energies. The Moon is void of course from 8:15 tonight until 5:35 Sunday morning, MDT. Psychic energies are potent! Sunday’s Sagittarius Moon encourages the pursuit of aspirations. And with some effort we may see how to proceed on our present path. Late Sunday night the Moon enters her gibbous phase, telling us to utilize techniques that really work versus random experimenting in the first part of the week ahead.
