Crescent Moon Phase

August 8 Monday
The Moon is void of course in Virgo for most of Monday. This can be very disconcerting during the new phase to have no boundaries through which to channel emerging impulses. The disorderly dispersal of Virgo’s analytical, distinctive features can be uncomfortably chaotic and disorienting. Instead of seeking refuge in familiar routines, figure out how to engage some new attitude or behavior. Avoid messes by taking a passive stance and by following inner guidance. AT 8:08 pm, MDT, the Moon leaves Virgo and enters graceful Libra.

August 9 Tuesday
The Libra Moon entered her crescent phase last night. She is sharing with us the need to minister to our aesthetic and emotional needs to continue to grow in some way; to compare our present life with our past and to resist staying in the comfort zone of that existence; and moreover to disassociate with past experiences that keep us stuck. If we do not strive to affiliate ourselves with the new energies of this cycle during the crescent phase, we risk aborting the import of this lunation. If you’re hanging on to useless, depressing behaviors, look for opportunities to let them go!

August 10 Wednesday
Wednesday’s Libra Moon may find some us ushering in a different way of looking at things. We may be alert to the gifts of this cycle and ready to zealously get into it. Our determination can lead to confrontations with our own polluted ideas. At 3:10 pm, MDT, the Libra Moon goes void of course until 6:35 tomorrow morning. This wide open, airing out period leaves us susceptible to outside influences. Our own ideas may be elusive. The Libra energy can provide a resonating field in which people and things with similarities to our values get constellated.

August 11 Thursday
At 6:35 am, MDT, the Moon enters Scorpio testing us on our prowess at probing into the dark recesses of our minds to wipe out social expectations that might impede our ability to fully create the self that wants to emerge at this time. That self, as one’s identity, wants to celebrate, to distinguish herself today. Yet personal and/or social problems, needing immediate attention, may get pointed out. Resourceful and productive Scorpio can find a creative solution that alleviates gnawing irritations dramatically.

August 12 Friday
Friday’s Scorpio Moon prefers dwelling deep within the secret inner planes with absolute autonomy over surface matters. Yet there is a need to look at current issues from all sides: above, below, ahead, behind, and sideways, with a wariness for self-deception. Probe your heart’s desires for clues to which actions to take as the first quarter Moon phase begins at 8:38 pm, MDT. August 13 Saturday
We have a void of course Scorpio Moon until 1:47 pm, MDT, when she moves into Sagittarius. She is also in her first quarter phase. This is like dark matter spewing out all sorts of energy to discover and play with, yet overwhelming us to the point of intoxication. With the Sag Moon we may either manically or zealously continue to bring everything into the open and anchor specific insights to boast one’s ego, especially as it has the will to propel us into the production mode that this phase expects. Our aspirations may consume us on Sunday!
