Last Quarter & Balsamic Moon

October 24 Monday
Monday’s Cancer Moon, faintly visible in the morning sky, reminds us that we are not alone. Even if we feel well-rooted in our individual selves or isolated, there is evidence of communal interaction and social ties everywhere. Tension between our personal assumptions and those of others is heavy in the air. It may be that we’ve assumed too much and need to sharpen our perception. At 3:16 pm, MDT, the Moon goes void of course for a half hour, time for a cat nap! At 3:48 she enters Leo, alert for opportunities to show off some newly acquired role.

October 25 Tuesday
The Leo Moon is in her last quarter phase. There’s internal pressure to express an emerging awareness of one’s social dynamics. This vital information may be about releasing a toxic pattern that could destroy a fragile structure of relating. In the past we may have been indulging a perverse and excessive habit that did not support equilibrium in our relationships. Today we can consciously begin to form new boundaries in which we can celebrate our kinship with others. This process can lead each of us to where we need to be in our interpersonal evolutionary process.

October 26 Wednesday
Wednesday’s Leo Moon starts out with a little irritability. Perhaps someone is getting under her skin and yours too! Take in the greater audience and evoke images of new ways to participate with others. Play in imaginary scenarios in which you are at the center of attention, and take note of those that bring true enjoyment! With some deep probing we can identify a way of re-orienting ourselves in relationships that strengthens our spiritual matrix. Examine underlying patterns of social behavior and trust your intuition more specifically in these matters.

October 27 Thursday
The Moon entered Virgo before dawn and assists us in digging beneath the surface of our conscious reality to attune to a dream world of participatory magic. In that place we can play out social problems from a multitude of angles and discern adjustments that will bring perfect solutions, or, at least test the limits of our risk-taking. There are swirls of change afloat today, bombarding our senses. Some of us may think it best to escape into an ethereal realm beyond the confusion of sensory overload. Fine! -- if it supplies a stable emotional bedrock for refining our relationships.

October 28 Friday
Friday’s Virgo Moon is the perfect umbrella for bringing all of our interactions during the past four weeks into a common focus. The keen perception of Virgo can ascertain how much we’ve embodied our ideal behavioral codes and whether we have found the reciprocity we expect in relationships. We may come to terms with our social skills that call for major shifts in our underlying motives. Such changes promise brighter possibilities with less limitations. October 29 Saturday
The Virgo Moon entered her balsamic phase last night, testing us on how smoothly we can handle difficulties in relationships. Can we keep interacting while eliminating the self defeating tactics or while releasing the emotional blowups? And most importantly can we start releasing some newly acquired behavior that supports rapport and reciprocity and shares the richness that is buried in our spiritual bonds? At 3:06 pm, MDT, Saturday, the Moon goes void of course for a little over an hour. This is a great time for screening out factors that inhibit emotional release. At 4:15 pm, the Moon enters Libra and returns to the degree of the last new Moon at noon on Sun. Have we learned some relationship lessons?
