First Quarter and Gibbous Moon

November 7 Monday
We start the week with a void of course Capricorn Moon. This feels more like an ending, a letting go of important work to do, or like complete immobilization. Resign yourself to your plight if duty calls! If there is time, meditate on the mystique or fundamental beliefs that engage you as a member of specific groups. At 2:31 pm, MST, the Moon enters Aquarius emphasizing a need to follow one’s own individual path, with or without others, though preferably knowing that everyone else is free to do likewise. The truth is we are never really alone as evidence by how much of contemporary living is dependant on visible and invisible social structures.

November 8 Tuesday
Tuesday’s Aquarius Moon offers a forward stance towards life. We may feel like we’re moving up the social ladder or seeing on what level some group is operating. This information can boost our confidence in checking out different scenarios, braving any resistance. At 6:57 pm, MST, the Moon enters her first quarter phase, an active, building stage. Aquarius knows that each of us is a complete world unto ourselves, yet dependent on the total field of human conditions. It’s time to guard that world, to be watchful of our territory, and to do things for the sake of others as well. Tomorrow, Wednesday, be prepared for the unpredictable as the Moon will be void of course!

November 9 Wednesday
The Moon is unleashing the surprising energy of Aquarius in a randomly chaotic manner while she is void of course from 5:31 this morning until 5:22 pm, MST! It may be difficult to make progress with external affairs, but stilling one’s mind can allow undercurrents to surface with insights that can help develop a crystal-clear conception of reality. This can lead to social innovations. At 5:22 pm, the Moon moves into the unselfish waters of Pisces! Here, she transcends normal concerns and aids us in merging our energies into a deeper social matrix.

November 10 Thursday
The Pisces Moon can assist in keeping us on a psychological tightrope to find our own truths, but it’s easy to fall off and meander. Socially, we may feel like “one of the gang”, yet our thoughts keep going to ideas about being out of “sync.” We may feel like shedding out-lived social structures for more inclusive ones that allow us to expose our breakthroughs in consciousness so that we and others are drawn in, not ostracized by strange revelations. Are we having comprehensive interactions with others, or do we feel that parts of us are cut off, isolated from others? Social attunement can be challenging!

November 11 Friday
At 8:33 am, MST, the Moon goes void of course for almost twelve hours! This is somewhat like last Wednesday and this coming Sunday. There’s an unfocused release of a zodiacal sign during this period, Pisces being the sign today. Pisces engulfs a vast range of energies from the plastic to the divine. It wants to dissolve everything into some unified field. This process can offer us a range of feelings from madness to euphoria. For the theme of this lunation cycle, tune into your emotional barometer during any engagement in group activity today. The Moon enters the “Me” sign, Aries, at 8:22 pm. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org. from 11:30 to noon for the weekend Moon Minute.

November 12 Saturday
The Aries Moon entered her gibbous phase at 5:17 am, MST. This is a time for discriminating what might be needed to complete something. Or to look for missing pieces in a puzzle that’s been unfolding. In this cycle, we may be stirred up by a sense of social duty, forcing a group to come to grips with its problems. Or, we may be going our own way, realizing that our hearts are no longer into a particular group’s agenda. Be open to fresh ideas, especially those that bless your ideals. At 12:07 pm, MST, on Sunday, the Moon goes void of course for almost twelve hours! We may feel like our personal and social problems are going around in circles. Take a leap of faith in your hunches!
