Disseminating & Last Quarter Moon

December 19 Monday
The Leo Moon enters her disseminating phase at 8:57 am, MST. This is a time to give expression to dreams that have been attained. Or to acknowledge our understanding of past experiences and how they have blazed a trail to our present conditions. In the process of allowing our insights to shine forth, our souls can begin to gift us and others with new currents of vitality. By taking advantage of opportunities, we may discover creative ways to quicken the attainment of long range goals while experiencing a self-sufficiency that rejuvenates us.

December 20 Tuesday
With Tuesday’s Leo Moon we can step into a childlike stance to survey or pore over activities of the past month as well as the past year in an open-ended way, looking for the whimsical, perhaps bizarre events that represent the aura of mystery in our lives. This remembering can attune us to what our lives are about here on Earth and highlight the key issues and lessons of the year. At 6:09 pm, MST, the Moon goes void of course for an hour and a half, an ideal time for celebrating the experiences of the past year. At 7:39 pm the Moon enters the nurturing embrace of Virgo.

December 21 Wednesday
The Virgo Moon on the Winter Solstice brings pristine ideas that can rearrange our whole perspective on our lives. We begin a new year with the Sun seemingly standing still to reverse direction from south to north. And the solar-lunar relationship tells us that the ensuing year holds the promise of things coming together or falling apart. The choice is ours to give ourselves body and soul to whatever is needed to find the wholeness that the Virgo part of us seeks. We need to keep our thoughts on distant goals and find those who will support us with their beliefs and resources. Happy first day of winter!

December 22 Thursday
On this second day of winter with a Virgo Moon we might find the metaphorical seeds that hold the potential for new experiences during the new year. So treat those promising ideas, possibilities, or opportunities with reverence; tend to them with care, and even make a commitment to one of them. Some seeds do well unattended while others need protection and support. Give some thought to what you’ll need to do about some new year’s resolutions. Intention can be all that is needed. Feed your future planning today with excitement, a powerfully energizing nutrient!

December 23 Friday
Friday’s Libra Moon may draw us into a marvelous emotional breakthrough as a result of uplifting social events over the past three weeks. At 12:36 pm, MST, the Moon enters her last quarter phase. This is a turning point for leaving behind old assumptions, proved to no longer be true based on personal experiences. It’s time to adopt a new stance that encourages seeking novel experiences or at least being open to them. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org. from 11:30 to noon MST for the weekend Moon Minute.

December 24 Saturday
Saturday’s Libra Moon wants company and draws on spiritual reserves to support community gatherings. Go with the flow of social activities and take things as they happen. At 8:53 am, MST, Christmas day, the Moon goes void of course for over ten hours. This emptying out of the harmony-seeking winds of Libra coupled with the subdued climate of a Sunday holiday can make an exceptionally tranquil time. So I wish you all peace and contentment for this day! The Moon moves into the icy waters of Scorpio at 7:04 Sunday evening, reminding us of the intense times we live in.
