Gibbous & Full Moon

January 9 Monday
Monday’s Taurus Moon is oozing with sensuous experiences, and finds the greatest pleasure in imaging that ordinary tasks are magically linked to inner beauty, juicing an orange is bringing out the sweetness of the soul. Every little ritual links us to the purity of our ideals. At 11:56 am, MST, the Moon goes void of course for seven hours, spreading the earthly delights of Taurus in all directions. Take some time to bask in them. At 6:58 pm, the Moon enters Gemini, feeling less withdrawn and more sociable to engage in exchanges of important bits of information.

January 10 Tuesday
The Gemini Moon entered her gibbous phase early this morning. At this point in the lunar cycle there can be a sense of nearing completion of some project or process. One may have identified a pattern around trust issues and worked on new behaviors to support or replace the old ones. It time for rehearsals or finishing touches. It can be challenging to have things gel, to find the right adjustments. Let curiosity be your guide in exploring different ways of expressing yourself. Mimicking others when tuned into how different it seems, can be a way of finding material to work with.

January 11 Wednesday
With Wednesday’s Gemini Moon rehearse a variety of scenarios conducive to assuming responsibility as well as those for letting it go. Be adaptive. Do away with nonessentials and stick with whatever has value for you. This Gemini Moon seems to be split between the inner and the outer mind, suggesting we participate equally in both realms, alternating between inner calm and outer excitement. Such a balancing act may be rejuvenating! At 6:46 pm, MST, the Moon goes void of course for almost nine hours, making this evening ideal for introspection.

January 12 Thursday
We have a Cancer Moon that yearns for behaviors that resonate with personal ideals. Valiant effort is needed to surpass previous levels of responsiveness. Cancer can give us the mental poise to critique our own expectations about what the next few days hold in store for us. We may recognize the fatedness of present circumstances. Yet the day begins and ends with an uncanny feeling of being cloaked with curiosity and open-mindedness to envision potentials emerging from past connections. A new approach may surface from back tracking over events since New Year’s Eve.

January 13 Friday
Friday’s Cancer Moon seeks to find a comfortable balance in pursuing personal appetites and individual freedom while accommodating some restraint and social stability. Adding to this, the Sun and Venus meet in a restricted, secluded area of Capricorn today, to uphold a dedication to personal beliefs about the higher realms. The Moon will be at her fullest after midnight at 2:48 am, MST, and begin a void of course period into Saturday afternoon in which to ponder what may have been thrust upon us. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org. from 1:00 to 1:30 pm MST for the weekend Moon Minute.

January 14 Saturday
Saturday morning’s full void of course Cancer Moon feeds solitude with one’s invisible support community to heed one’s calling, to contemplate one’s readiness to participate in the ever-changing patterns of life. At 2:31 pm, MST, the Moon enters Leo, shedding light on how we are playing with issues of will, authority, and social structures. Are we renewing ourselves with scheduled time for recreation on this three day weekend, or overloading ourselves with too many obligations? If our beliefs and motivations are at odds, we may feel overwrought this Sunday. If they are in sync, we may feel confident in the midst of a flurry of activities.
