Last Quarter & Balsamic Moon

January 23 Monday
We have a Scorpio Moon at the beginning of a week that promises rich inner musings about one’s ability to generate one’s visions from the virtual space of imagination into earth-based reality. There’s a chance to attract situations that attest to one’s self-sufficiency and at the same time allow one to observe the emergence of some new possibilities. At 2:53 pm, MST, the Moon goes void of course until tomorrow morning at 11:38. This unleashing of the mysterious waters of Scorpio may send some of us in search of private, intimate settings for rituals of renewal.

January 24 Tuesday
With the Scorpio Moon void of course, keep to subdued activities for most of the morning. At 11:38 am, MST, the Moon enters Sagittarius, encouraging us to immerse our thinking in future plans. Only dysfunctional Sagittarius energy will get stuck in a rut. Usually this sign will take us into foreign territory with the support of natural inclinations that are fueled by our beliefs. Just drop expectations about immediate results and allow room and time for all that is needed to come together for whatever you are arranging for the next feature drama of your life.

January 25 Wednesday
Wednesday’s Sagittarius Moon may find a vast opening for renewing hopes of society coming together under common beliefs about our interconnectedness. There are moments of compassion and truth telling available that span our personal, cultural, and political lives. At a personal level we can take those moments of habitual ritual when asking someone how she/he is to listen well to the response and comment with a word of encouragement. And when asked in turn how you are, chose an honest response, even one that changes the quality of the exchange.

January 26 Thursday
The Sagittarius Moon entered her balsamic phase last night and goes void of course at 8:24 am, MST, for seven hours. This is a time of surrender across a broad spectrum of activities and behaviors. Stick with skills in which you’re proficient so that you can uphold the standards you live by. There can be an inordinate disregard for details during this balsamic period of three days in which the overall picture or vision is best focused upon. At 3:31 pm, the Moon moves into Capricorn, reminding us to complete whatever we can that establishes a sense of being responsible.

January 27 Friday
With Friday’s Capricorn Moon use caution and discipline in expressing ideas to maintain harmony unless you want to stew up problems, especially those of an organizational or bureaucratic nature. Notice your level of trust in any transaction. Do you expect little or a lot? Are there clear boundaries in exchanges that protect your privacy? The Moon will be void of course after midnight until mid-afternoon on Saturday. So keep it simple then. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org. from 1:00 to 1:30 pm MST for the weekend Moon Minute.

January 28 Saturday
The Capricorn Moon is void of course until 4:09 pm, MST, when she moves into Aquarius. A persistent vagueness may prevail during the void time. Old issues may surface with the Aquarian Moon, issues of popularity among one’s colleagues. These pertain to the theme of the new Moon on Sunday Morning at 7:15 am, MST. Look for situations in which you seem to be proving yourself, or seem to feel compelled to make yourself useful. How many areas of your life can you uncover that involve pleasing others, and do these circumstances stifle you or rejuvenate you?
