New and Crescent Moon

January 30 Monday
With the early morning Aquarius Moon, check the emotional climate around you. Let it be a guide. If hostile, retreat. If friendly, seize an opportunity to advance your agenda. At 9:00 am, MST, the Moon goes void of course for six and a half hours. If you started the day in high gear, slow down and fade out to avoid chaos. However, in the midst of swarming activity, there are magical, mystical moments that sustain life as we know it. At 3:32 pm, the Moon enters Pisces, supporting a sea of activities related to lofty, and even mundane, aspirations.

January 31 Tuesday
Tuesday’s Pisces Moon offers a grab bag of fleeting moments that can become memorable for their delicacy and gracefulness. The intangible vapors of Pisces may fade these circumstances unless we look for them. They’ll be ephemeral, perhaps with a hint of the divine. They’re the type of events we often cherish. Celebrate them! Let them draw you in to experience their fullness. Tailor the day to attune to the beauty of nature, including human nature. Notice your reactions to life’s precious snapshots. Do they give you promise of more to come?

February 1 Wednesday
With the early morning Pisces Moon, weigh your course of action for the day with a preference for advancement of future plans. At 9:06 am, MST, the Moon goes void of course for six and a half hours, bringing uncomfortable insights to the surface that reveal previously hidden truths. At 12:09 pm, the Moon enters her crescent phase which lasts through Saturday. Look for fertile, precious moments of change during these days. It’s important to notice mood shifts. At 3:46 pm, the Moon enters Aries, ready to break through doubts about the strange beauty of life’s special moments.

February 2 Thursday
Thursday’s Aries Moon can take us into new scenes in which we might see how our lives are presently being woven by what we include as well as by what we exclude. Pause to think through whether to move forward or to back away from some social engagements. Consider how new experiences can become old and whether or not their memory is worth having. Life has its rhythms of action and rest. Get in the swing of yours to recognize when to charge into activities and when to retreat. Cultivate your special needs for receiving and giving information that usher in new possibilities.

February 3 Friday
On this last day of an Aries Moon, think of the times in which you were the center of attention, being recognized for your contributions, for holding up high standards that furthered some ideal. A good time for such recollection will be after 11:33 am, MST, when the Moon goes void of course until this evening. At 6:31 pm, she enters Taurus, underscoring your special talents and your worthiness of others’ admiration for your deeds. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org. from 1:00 to 1:30 pm MST for the weekend Moon Minute.

February 4 Saturday
We have a Taurus Moon for the weekend to deal with any inertia like sitting on the fence between starting afresh or truly resting to replenish one’s expended resources. At 11:29 Saturday night, MST, the Moon enters her first quarter phase for the next four days. She calls us to action in a personal and private way, to activate an inner watchfulness for those special moments in which we struggle between our minds’ questioning and our hearts’ passions. Such inner battles can lead to unique experiences of inner celebration. The Moon goes void of course Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm for the rest of the day and the realm of imagination becomes especially rich.
