Crescent & First Quarter Moon

May 1 Monday
The Gemini Moon is void of course this morning in her crescent phase. Use the early hours to ponder over experiences, habits, attitudes that have arisen since Thursday that conjure up contradictory images or ideas of uselessness or unworthiness. This information holds a splendid promise of great worth. At 9:17 am, MDT, the Moon enters Cancer and urges us to withdraw from past conditions to nurture something that can exist yet is presently missing. Don’t allow the worst to continue as if frozen in your being. Melt away diversionary tactics, and directly secure that which you crave.

May 2 Tuesday
Tuesday’s Cancer Moon provides opportunities to gather the support one needs to flow in a different direction without regret. The past is over; it’s only a memory. Fish for innovative images that draw you into a new way of behaving, of creatively making your way towards what you want. Let your emotions be your guide with their compass pointed towards the “c’s” of calmness, comfort, contentment, and confidence. This can be slippery as some of those emotional states can slide us back into the past. Be prepared to make adjustments to swim into an unfamiliar future.

May 3 Wednesday
The Cancer Moon may bring up our instinctual patterns today, especially those that are in resistance to some new approach. These urges must be met and listened to, if only in our minds. Pause to check out everything, and insist on following the current of the new tide through challenging inner familiar urges. At 12:35 pm, MDT, the Moon goes void of course for almost six hours. While she is emptying out the comfort zone of Cancer, weigh all the issues that might be holding you back from pursuing the brightness of the new impulse you are bearing. At 6:18 pm, the Moon enters upbeat, sunny Leo.

May 4 Thursday
There’s lots of restless expectancy to connect with palpable yet not fully developed resources and the determination to bring them into actuality today. The Leo Moon is linked to this energy and wants to be surrounded by love and vitality. Yet she brings us to a crossroad. The choice we select can lead us towards a deeper meaning of spiritual evolution or into chaotic fragmenting bizarreness. Can we celebrate no matter what web of events we’re caught up in? Embracing strangeness may ultimately be rewarding while holding back may be no fun at all.

May 5 Friday
The Leo Moon has entered her first quarter phase daring us to create behavior that dramatizes our worthiness or usefulness. She also suggests that we act from a heartfelt space, displaying our love. Love penetrates all barriers and goes where it’s needed and wants to be. Today it can take on the form of the redeemer or savior. Be alert as appearances can be deceptive. Covert sacrifices may not bring what is intended in the development of long term goals. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org. from 1:00 to 1:30 pm MDT for the weekend Moon Minute.

May 6 Saturday We have a Virgo Moon for the weekend, helping us function through specific, yet simple knowledge that reveals itself naturally. Ways and means get broken down from unfamiliar forms to familiar ones that don’t overwhelm us. This may be a favorable time to venture into unknown terrain in search of true value. Just be prepared to accept some unusual, stimulating revelation of seemingly unlimited reserves. Tune into the underlying meanings of Sunday’s experiences. And be prepared for a long void of course Moon on Monday by not scheduling a mindset for the dull, drab beginning of the week routines.
