Last Quarter & Balsamic Moon

May 22 Monday
The Pisces Moon is void of course, releasing significant messages from other realms until 7:24 am, MDT, when she moves into Aries. It’s time to examine how much we have discovered about ourselves through some area of our lives since last March’s eclipses, and in this lunation cycle whether or not we’ve allowed ourselves to be held back by not breaking through the barriers that diminish our worth. If we have added value to our identity, today we may integrate the crusty formalities of our outer personas with the perpetual wellsprings of our inner selves.

May 23 Tuesday
The Aries Moon enters her balsamic phase at 12:53 pm, MDT. This last stage of the cycle calls for doing whatever it takes to juggle activities and seek a respite for renewal. Pausing, in spite of compulsions to gallop full speed ahead with current tasks, may allow us to hear an internal messenger telling us to lighten up lest we miss something essential. Our exuberance can only continue if it’s recharged and unfettered from demanding entanglements that can become meaningless. Kick back into a receptive mode this evening to let in your inspirational muse.

May 24 Wednesday
The Aries Moon is void of course this morning, draining our fuel for action. At 10:00 am, MDT, she enters Taurus, a sign in which she likes leisure to enjoy sensory delights. Duty does call, however, especially the sort that relates to our ongoing contribution to our community. So let’s not linger and lull too much this morning, lest we really get stuck in lethargy. The Moon returns to where she last met the Sun this evening, reminding us of patterns of worthiness and functionality that we have either ignored, grasped anew, or transformed. How much are we willing to act on our values?
May 25 Thursday
The invisible balsamic Taurus Moon is determined to shake off remnants of subservience to a world that takes advantage of indocrinization. She desires to be free to impress others with her own standards. We, too, might think about how much our appearance reveals our values. Are our ideals merely fancies? Are we ready to bring more of ourselves to the surface no matter how strange it may feel? If so, tomorrow morning might be well spent digging up those personal, yet hidden, gifts we possess, as the Moon will be void of course most of Friday morning.

May 26 Friday
The Taurus Moon is void of course, sweeping out the gritty specks of unworthiness or uselessness that this lunation cycle revealed. Don’t waste time fretting on limitations. At 1:19 pm, MDT, the Moon enters Gemini, urging us to verbalize an emerging sense of how to explore more deeply the landscape of the soul. The darkness of the moonless night symbolizes the impulse of the new Moon at 11:25 pm, MDT, to venture into the unknown spaces of our minds for intuitive information. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MDT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

May 27 Saturday Last night’s new Moon in Gemini beckons us to continue to tap into the part of our souls that is ancient and rich with fuel to expand our experience of these times. Gemini offers a refreshing current of information that can gently change how we identify ourselves. Just as air goes practically anywhere, we too in our minds can travel to seemingly unlimited places. On Sunday we may find that conversing with fellow sightseers can provide valuable information about places to explore. The Moon will be void of course from 5:23 pm, MDT, Sunday till 6:33 pm, perfect for introspection or meditation. After which, the Moon enters the nurturing wellsprings of Cancer.
