New & Crescent Moon

June 26 Monday
We start the week with a new Cancer Moon seeking security within the confines of unfamiliar, maybe uncomfortable, surroundings. Concentrate on remaining quiet and firm in initiating any agreements that will take care of basic needs. Don’t pounce on just any option, or let fun, highly creative suggestions scatter your focus. If any part of you feels doubt or hesitation, trust those feelings and use them to shift the direction. What seems wrong now will remain wrong, no matter how smooth and vibrant the potential for give and take appears.

June 27 Tuesday
Tuesday begins with a Cancer Moon reminding us that we inherit the traits of our ancestors and also those of anyone we form tribal bonds with. This is especially true of alliances that we depend on for survival. An ideal time to contemplate such security matters is from 10:02 am to 11:09 am, MDT while the Moon is void of course. At the end of that period, the Moon enters Leo, dramatically getting caught up in introducing ways to build and circulate a feeling of natural support. Pause and tune in to your intuition before taking any rash, impulsive actions.

June 28 Wednesday
Wednesday morning’s Leo Moon offers still moments to express the characteristics of supportive arrangements. We just need to seize the time to identify what we want, and then allow it to creatively materialize. Don’t hold back from change; it can bring more freedom and fun. Mercury the planet of thinking and communication enters Leo today, while both it and the Moon are slowing down. This along with the Moon’s encounter with Mars in Leo can produce erratic surges in energy, somewhat like summer lightening and thunder storms do.

June 29 Thursday
At 8:35 am, MDT, the Leo Moon enters her crescent phase, calling on us to throw off our inhibitions and strut toward unexplored experiences. Leo applauds improvisation that comes from the heart. Wear the role you’re playing from the inside out. No matter how strange it may seem, it may be spectacular and link you to a new standard of behavior. At 12:24 pm, the Moon goes void of course for almost ten hours. She’s pouring out the warm radiance of Leo to inspire our creative actions. At 10:15 pm, the Moon enters clear-headed, yet alchemically wise Virgo.

June 30 Friday
The Virgo Moon assists in expressing any hesitation or insecurity about new ways of acquiring basic needs that are not tied into past behaviors. Yet she can also help us toss off the old ways and put some order to our tentative pokings. All sorts of information and people support are available to unfold the potential of this Moon cycle. We may be surprised at our readiness to move into new territory. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MDT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

July 1 Saturday The Virgo Moon regards Saturday’s options for circumstances that provide soul sustenance. She is willing to adapt and organize the day’s agenda for improvements that meet her standards. Following her guidance may serve in stirring up our feelings about the future of our personal evolution. Sunday morning the Moon is void of course, sweeping out every speck of Virgo until 11:06 am, MDT, when she moves into Libra. Internal tensions build, pressuring us to make a decision about how to deal with engrained behavior that has been providing for some basic need.
