Gibbous & Full Moon

October 2 Monday
We start the week with an Aquarius Moon sensitive to social benefits and obligations. If we have listened to the ideas of others lately, we may be recognizing a different level of truth in our lives. Everything up to now may seem like we were looking at it with binoculars which have just been removed. The impact of the periphery opens up new possibilities. Tuning into our confidence barometer while considering newly received information can help us choose ways to proceed that avoid pitfalls and social disapproval.

October 3 Tuesday
Tuesday’s Aquarius Moon specializes in disruptive energies that are catalysts for moving us out of restrictive habits or old repetitive patterns. At 2:14 pm, MDT, the Moon goes void of course until 11:33 tonight! While she is emptying out the waves of aquarian knowledge, she also enters her gibbous phase at 4:17 pm. This stage supports the concentration of know-how and creative energy to finish up a project. It is useful to deal only with those things or situations that you know you can improve and that will help you achieve some goal.

October 4 Wednesday
The Pisces Moon helps us probe the nature of things hidden from us, particularly those psychological conditions that arrest us, that hold us back. Through courageous exploration of our inner lives, we can gain tremendous understanding of why we act as we do. Our experiences today can bring new meaning to our goals, reframing them in a brighter light. There can be an awakening that frees us from old layers of being. Imagine you are Charles Schultz’s Pig Pen in Peanuts shaking off all the dust of the past so that you emerge sparkling clean and ready to move into a new role.

October 5 Thursday
Start this Thursday with food for your soul, a comfort breakfast, a brisk walk, an invigorating bath, whatever stirs your love of life! Take care of yourself! Build your stamina. Re-examine your goals and attend to matters at hand. Today’s Pisces Moon challenges us to put our beliefs into action in such a way that we are enthused with the vital underlying forces of life. At 2:33 pm, MDT, the Moon goes void of course for nine hours until 11:32 pm. As she is releasing the unifying waters of Pisces, we, too, can let go of inessential habits or traits that keep us from being wholesome.

October 6 Friday
While the Aries Moon wants to try out everything, it is best for us to be centered in our hearts, aware of who we are at our core. The full Moon tonight at 9:13 reveals aspects of ourselves that are beyond the natural, sort of like how a kundalini experience can energize and transform us. Whatever we have been focusing upon over the past two weeks becomes a vehicle of awakening to another level of existence during the week ahead. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MDT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

October 7 Saturday
The Aries full Moon wants to get the most out of life. It has stored up power to face up to and remove whatever holds it back from distinctive singular action. It is eager to release its energy into the world. At 2:05 pm, MDT, the Moon goes void of course for nine hours until 11:04 pm, releasing the pent up passions of Aries into leaps of faith. On Sunday the Taurus Moon helps us extract the valuable gifts that have surfaced from our subconscious mind during this eclipse cycle. This information can help us select what to throw out and what to display.
