Last Quarter and Balsamic Moon

March 12 Monday
The last quarter Sagittarius Moon this morning provides deep understanding of how to restructure some condition in our lives so that a revitalization of spirit occurs with a deep belief in certain principles that can guide one to a full expression of a potential. At 12:27 pm, MDT, the Moon goes void of course for two hours. During this time the Moon is releasing the far-reaching ideals of Sagittarius, and in some mysterious way we can visualize the extensive influence of our beliefs. At 2:35 pm, the Moon enters Capricorn and the holographic field of goal-orientation.

March 13 Tuesday
Tuesday’s Capricorn Moon presents a plan of action for bringing all of the essential components for wholeness or healthy, vital living into a cohesive relationship that allows what needs to be left behind to be dismissed. This can happen in a surprisingly sudden fashion. At the same time a whirlwind of energy can sweep us up and tune us into our condition with insights of how to advance. Stay alert; look for subtle opportunities that may lead to important connections today or in the next few weeks. Our inner life may be rich with innovative ideas.

March 14 Wednesday
With this Capricorn Moon many of us may come out of the dream world fearful of what we think is expected of us by the outside world. It would be nice to stay in the haven of one’s bed, but separation from the complexities of social interaction is an illusion. So why not embrace what you see out there as part of you? A wholistic perspective along with some active imagination can lessen the strain of engaging socially. At 2:21 pm, MDT, the Moon goes void of course, emptying out the uphill climb that Capricorn often generates. At 8:52 pm, the Moon drifts into progressive Aquarius.

March 15 Thursday
The Moon is in synthesizing Aquarius, entering her balsamic phase at 1:49 pm, MDT. At this stage with keen observation, we can see what no longer serves us and clear out the dead weight that blocks us from moving on with a renewed perspective. There’s energy to propel us through such a transition and to get through it in our own individual way. The guide within each of us as well as an external mentor in our lives may be urging us, pushing us to take on any challenge that stands in our way. View things by integrating them into a bigger context and avoid repeating decadent patterns.

March 16 Friday
Tonight the Aquarius Moon returns to where she was last a new Moon with the Sun, and our growth and transformation over the past month may become more apparent to us as we cut loose from the past. We can discuss the depth of feelings we have been experiencing that have stirred us into action, but an air of caution or restraint may signal with whom we might choose to have such conversations. Also insights may arise in the evening into how our thoughts can sabotage us. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MST, for the weekend Moon Minute.

March 17 Saturday
The Moon is in Pisces most of the weekend. The boundaries between the rational and the imaginary world become blurred and the thrill of something new fosters restlessness. Yet unknown factors bring ambivalence as it is the monthly time of the dark Moon, and she will darken the Sun Sunday night at 8:43 MDT. With this solar eclipse we get opportunities to take in how we develop perfection or wholeness in our lives down into the smallest details, and how we fit into the collective of humanity. What roles do we fill in the human dance on Mother Earth?
