Disseminating and Last Quarter Moon

October 29 Monday
We start the week with a disseminating Gemini Moon. Enough critical information is available at this point in a cycle for us to understand the consequences of certain social behaviors. It’s time to demonstrate that realization of how far one should go while working with others, of when to nip off a possible liason and let it go. It’s best to be free of some social pressures while maintaining the basic connections. The Moon goes void of course at 1:50 pm, MDT, for five hours of blowing out the accumulated data of Gemini that can bring on a sense of anxious free-floating. At 6:49 pm, the Moon moves into calming Cancer.

October 30 Tuesday
The disseminating Cancer Moon with its crab shell image may bring up attachments to familiar patterns no matter how destructive they can be. Cancer brings us into a circle of familiarity like that of a family. The pressure of being surrounded in such a way triggers defense mechanisms in some. There can also be a dreamy, utopian sense of what can be engendered. Generalizing from one’s personal experience can bring a range of feelings from discontent to excitement. Watch for internal tug-of-wars between holding on and letting go.

October 31 Wednesday
This Cancer Moon reminds us of the deep connections within families, their loyality issues and shared problems. Their capacity to cope with and compensate for short-comings. At 11:13 am, MDT, the Moon goes void of course for over eleven hours of emptying out the permissive, encouraging nurturance that Cancer can offer. During this time the planet Neptune appears stationary, emphasizing meditative or altered states of consciousness. We can easily be over-whelmed or thin-skinned during this time. Reality can elude us. Seek refuge within your personal comfort zone.

November 1 Thursday
Thursday’s Leo Moon reminds us that we get what we deserve. Leo is a generous sign. It’s like the Sun giving light and heat to the earth which brings forth many things. If we take more than we’re offered, the consequences may be troublesome. With the last quarter phase that begins at 3:16 pm, MDT, centering one’s self and aligning with core values can assist in summing up an honest appraisal of some specific behaviors. An overview coalesces and clearly defines problem areas and how one can act responsibly. Fairness may be emphasized as Mercury is stationary direct at 4:00 pm.

November 2 Friday
With this Leo Moon play around with restoring a healthy pride in what you do. Appearance are deceptive, and your heart knows what is true and good. How we’ve been is a springboard into what we hope to be. Within each of us is a unique capacity to overcome our misdeeds and shaggy edges. With Leo we can pull ourselves together with high hopes and strategically place ourselves in some ideal situation. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MDT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

November 3 Saturday
The Moon moved into Virgo at 6:45 this morning, MDT. Virgo helps us comprehend the whole picture by picking out details and magnifying them so that we can have clarity and, in some cases, certainty about something. We may feel hemmed in by sensory input today. On Sunday differing views may amaze us if we access a mixture of competing interests. It may be difficult to have that Virgo finger in many pots. So beware of over-extending yourself, as well as doing things haphazardly. Seek to understand and to be understood.

Gibbous and Full Moon

October 22 Monday
With this Pisces Moon we can feel the changes that are developing, even if they are only the way we have been viewing our behavior. All it takes is desire and intent to create some action that flows into what we feel we can become. And today a liberating energy can magically show up. With it we can cut through whatever is holding us back. At 6:15 pm, MDT, the Moon enters her Gibbous phase, a time when inner and outer resources come together to help us refine or at least improve upon what we have developed to date. Pisces and Libra where the Moon and the Sun are now are sensitive to collaborative processes.

October 23 Tuesday
Tuesday’s Pisces Moon comes with feelings that demonstrate a state of denial about the shape and circumstances of what has transpired since the new Moon almost 2 weeks ago. The Sun’s movement into Scorpio today also supports the blocking of emotions. Yet powerfully useful information is available if we choose to plunge in and analyze the psychological tensions being experienced. At 2:17 pm, MDT, the Moon goes void of course for five hours of draining out any unrealistic expectations of Pisces. At 7:24 pm, the Moon moves into the arousing courage of Aries!

October 24 Wednesday
With Wednesday’s Aries Moon, we may feel a bit feisty in asserting our personal needs. The orientation of the day is to lead with actions. Be careful about thoughtless, tactless moves. Try expressing any restless energy to improve things on your own, solo. Give yourself permission to leave any problem area. There can be a variety of solutions or approaches that can promise the desired results. Distance yourself from the troublesome ones and the unethical. Aries likes to keep things simple and straightforward. But don’t expect to finish up much today.

October 25 Thursday
The Aries Moon brings a youthful attitude to seeing the present conditions of one’s life, aware of the effects of both good and bad actions, able to turn things around and begin anew. At 3:46 pm, MDT, the Moon begins to void the direct and immediate energy of Aries for over three exhausting hours. At 7:07 pm, the Moon, rising in the east, moves into Taurus and enters her full phase at 10:51 pm. This begins a period of revelations about how we are able to co-exist on many levels, sharing commonalities and honoring the rights of everyone and everything that inhabits this planet.

October 26 Friday
The Taurus Moon brings values to the forefront, the ordinary ones and the eccentric ones. We may feel conflicted between security and freedom needs. What’s important is to not get stuck and to overcome personal obstacles. Adhering to the truth in any sort of struggle, helps to accept disturbing tensions and to let them pour out instead of allowing them to crystallize within. Accept the challenge to sweep away irresponsible patterns revealed at this time. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MDT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

October 27 Saturday
The Taurus Moon has been void of course since very early this morning. She is releasing the justifications of Taurus along with its tendencies to wallow in indulgences. At 6:11 pm, MDT, she moves into the light-hearted sign of Gemini, yet there may be a serious tone to the evening. Sunday’s mood is more excitable. We may feel wired to verbalize what is sensed deep within our core. The creative inner muse may be pointing out a variety of ideas that can mentally transport us into ways of getting the unwanted kinks out of our vision of how we want our lives to be.
