Full and Disseminating Moon

December 24 Monday
The Cancer Moon is in her full phase encouraging us to widen our circle of family with insights about how each individual, the one that stands in our way and one that liberates us, brings a level of perfection to our lives. Even restrictive behaviors like speaking half truths or hiding the presents our hearts want to give, have a way of revealing the spectrum of our radiance. Cancer follows the flow of old wisdom. Pay attention to the memories that instantly and unexpectedly flow through your mind. What do they tell you about your security and comfort needs?

December 25 Tuesday
The Cancer Moon goes void of course this Christmas morning at 6:17 am, MST until 4:52 pm when she moves into cheery Leo. This pouring out of the nurturing waters of Cancer makes for a highly emotional and sensitive day. Traditional rituals of this day may easily trigger teary eyes. Wallowing in emotions may be okay but be cautious about them if they stir up unrealistic longings. There is a counter, grounding energy afoot today that understands the emotional power that this holiday season can wield, from yearnings to regain the youthful excitement to battles with depression. May a peaceful light grow in your hearts as it does in the days ahead!

December 26 Wednesday
On this last day of the full phase the Leo Moon reminds us of the risks, perhaps perils, that we’ve dealt with recently as well as some uninhibited fun. Have we partied too much? Has some of the “good life” turned toxic? Emotions may be volatile, and some us may spontaneously get outrageous, especially if sparked by a sense of independence and not caring about what others think. It is difficult to contain the inner joy that often accompanies the revelations of a full Moon. Such excitement is meant to be shared. Indeed it is often more strongly felt when others are allowed to participate in it.

December 27 Thursday
The Leo Moon entered her disseminating phase at 4:13 am, MST. This is a time of recognizing and understanding the occurrences and behavior of the past. In Leo such an uncovering of meaning may bring an exuberant letting go of certain inhibitions and a boldness to bring light to some unconscious truths. Leo, however, may have a little trouble getting others to march to his tune. At 7:54 pm, the Moon begins to void herself of radiant Leo until 9:44 pm when she moves into Virgo, providing greater clarity about the influences of this lunation and how to develop new potentials within oneself.

December 28 Friday
The Virgo Moon points out the interwoven patterns that human conduct produces in relationships: the strife and the mischief along with the endearing little acts of fondness and love. Seek the company of those who uphold your beliefs but not your personal limitations, issues, and problems. Too much familiarity breeds entanglements hard to unravel and easy to avoid uncovering the roots that hold us in tight places. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00to 1:30 pm, MST, for the weekend Moon Minute.

December 29 Saturday
With this Virgo Moon we may either be in passive resistance to change or wildly attending to inner work that brings harmony to disruptive parts of ourselves. Spend some time thinking about the state of your everyday life. You might be surprised by some of the ideas that pop up. Early Sunday morning the Moon voids herself of discerning Virgo from 6:08 to 6:37, MST. Then she moves into the graceful social mix of Libra where she is usually inclined to find comfort in sharing. On Sunday, however, there is a tug to go solo if it encourages developing new potentials. It would be ideal to be with people of the same orientation.
