Gibbous and Full Moon

February 18 Monday
We start the week with a void of course gibbous Moon in Cancer. This can generate feelings of insecurity about opening up more of a part of ourselves that has been kept hidden. Quietly and privately this morning nurture the very best qualities to be revealed in the near future. At 11:51 am, MT, the Moon moves into life-enhancing Leo. The vibrancy of what is looming on the horizon mesmerizes us. As Mercury is stationary direct this evening at 7:57, we become keenly aware of how we shift from an orientation on the past to a fostering of new and future consciousness.

February 19 Tuesday
With the Sun having entered Pisces last night and the Moon in Leo, we may find ourselves seeking to understand what is coming forth in us against the backdrop of the myriad interactions we have with other humans on a daily basis. Certain connections seem fated and also coincidental, as if determined by the roll of dice. Question such circumstances from as many angles as you can with an attitude of openness that can shatter crystallized views of your reality. Grieve any loss, and, more importantly, rejoice in some new found knowledge that draws you into a vaster reality.

February 20 Wednesday
With the Leo Moon this morning there’s a spiritual restlessness for revealing a new role one is playing. At 10:53 am, MT, the Moon goes void of course until late this afternoon as she extinguishes the razzle-dazzle of Leo and, at 5:06 pm, replaces it with vigilant Virgo, focusing on understanding the shadow implications of the lunar eclipse beginning at 7:34 pm and lasting for almost six hours. The Moon will be at her fullest at 8:30 pm, the start of a revelatory phase of what has come into our conscious mind from our subconscious mind having to do with what has currently become transparent about our human identity.

February 21 Thursday
The full Virgo Moon offers us the opportunity to demarcate the boundaries of our awareness if we are letting more of our essence fill out our physical presence. Virgo seeks wholeness, a sense of intactness. There is a keen awareness of deficiencies, whether within oneself or in others, along with attempts to improve conditions, to generously provide what seems lacking. This can bring out archetypes within us such as the caregiver, the teacher, the mentor, and the healer. Each of us can display those archetypes without credentials when we open up and share our wisdom much as a parent does with children.

February 22 Friday
Treat this Moon in Virgo Friday as if you have a clean slate to focus on any detail that impassions you. Don’t engage in intensive analysis unless you absolutely must. It can distract or prevent you from acting on all that you are capable of becoming at this point in time. The Moon goes void of course at 7:15 pm, MT. This is a transitional period in which the Moon washes off a sign before entering the next one. Cleansing our soma synchronously with the Moon this evening is ideal. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MST, for the weekend Moon Minute.

February 23 Saturday
The Libra Moon brings to the forefront our ideals about how we would like to be seen by others, including not only the usual social poses but also an awareness of vibrant hidden factors. It’s up to us to access how we bridge our social image and that which we truly believe to be our identity. The point is, are we aspiring to restructure ourselves for appearances only or for changing ourselves both internally and externally. On Sunday at 4:49 pm, MT, the Moon enters her disseminating phase when it’s best to exhibit one’s co-ordinating efforts to display an external façade that matches the interior.

Crescent and First Quarter Moon

February 11 Monday
Monday’s crescent Aries Moon urges us to move away from emotional conditions that box us in. If we are motivated to do this based on spiritual and ethical principles as versus cunning and deception, we stand to gain in developing our potential. Whether we advance or entrench ourselves in repetitive processes, it is important that we adhere to our moral compass, the fiber of which will most likely be tested today. Within each of us are virtues that want to be freely expressed. Aries can provide the audacity to throw oneself totally into gestures that remove any barriers to sharing what is in one’s heart.

February 12 Tuesday
The Taurus Moon works at sorting out the benefits of removing the veils that protect one’s inner resources. There may be limits to what gets revealed. Try to gauge what needs to be heard and seen by considering the level of commonality shared with those you engage with during the day. Sometimes the smile on your face says it all; sometimes it’s puzzling. Little touches, small provisions can brighten not only your outlook but also those around you. Letting others get a peak at your inner spirit may lift theirs. Imagine the vast world inside of all of us opening up to make a better world.

February 13 Wednesday
With this Taurus Moon call on your ability to be patient as radical departures from typical schedules appear attractive up to midafternoon when hypersensitivity to being out of sync sets in. Then you might want to comply with the company you’re keeping. Some of you might have gotten past the security of the crowd and into a solitary space to safely collect and analyze your feelings. The Moon enters her first quarter phase tonight at 8:33, MT. It’s time to forego the security of pleasures that distort the emanation of your inner beauty and to choose a path that develops a full disclosure of your inner spirit.

February 14 Thursday
The first quarter Gemini Moon can take us on a labyrinthine journey deep into our soul caverns. All we need to do for this trip is trust our inner wisdom. Walking an actual labyrinth can heighten our perception, triggering images to surface. Ponder on the multitude of different social masks we can wear: the patient listener, the mesmerizing storyteller, the diplomat, the salesperson, the chatterbox, the merchant, the know-it-all, and the liar, to name a few. Are you wearing a mask that is outmoded? Is there one available to you that will get you back in tune with your inner identity? That says Happy Valentine’s to you?

February 15 Friday
Friday’s Gemini Moon brings strange one-insided explanations that leave one withdrawn. Yet there may be shifts and changes that take one out of a comfort zone and open up a variety of ways to dissolve the self-imposed confinement and to move out into the world. Look for the avenues that free you up and refuel your energy to shine in the world from the inside out. On Saturday the early morning hours may be best spent in solitude. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MST, for the weekend Moon Minute.

February 16 Saturday
With Saturday’s Cancer Moon develop the support systems available that can secure a greater sense of unity and purpose in your life. Early Sunday morning at 6:55, MT, the Moon enters her gibbous phase. Start fine tuning your spiritual orientation so that what is dormant within you can emerge into a fuller existence. Find a safe haven that feeds this activity. The Moon will start voiding herself of the emotional warmth of Cancer at 2:13 pm on Sunday until late Monday morning. Unexpressed habit patterns may surface during this time when the veils are thin between reality and fantasy.
