New and Crescent Moon

June 2 Monday
With this Taurus Moon we may feel like breaking away from imprisoning activities to wander freely in the warmth of June. The Moon goes void of course at 7:06 am, MT, offering us an infusion of earthly beauty as she sweeps out the sensory delights of Taurus. We may be overcome with a bout of Spring fever, wanting to dawdle about in nature. At 4:06 pm, the Moon leaves Taurus and moves into Gemini, generally a more actively social sign. With the Moon dark in her balsamic phase, however, and being challenged by Saturn, we may still find comfort in retreating into those special places reserved for dillydallying.

June 3 Tuesday
The Gemini Moon stimulates the verbalization of feelings that push social limits. There are impulses to re-interpret how we interact to see if we are liked and also what we like. At 1:23 pm, MT, we have a new Moon birthing intimations about some invisible umbilical cord that exists and is evidenced when we are in rapport with someone or with some part of us that wants to come into conscious, continuous connection. When tapped into a sense of how old ways, that separate us, are no longer working, we can feel supportive energy to forge ahead towards a new orientation. Mobility may lead to many synchronicities.

June 4 Wednesday
By tuning into vital signs with this Gemini Moon, we may avoid shallow living. The Moon goes void of course at 6:09 am, MT, for over 9 hours of blowing off the ever-ready to quip behavior of Gemini. It may be easier to grasp sub-conscious messages during this period when cosmic thoughts flow freely. At 3:16 pm, the Moon moves into Cancer directing us to develop our sensitivity to deep primal energies. They carry the feelings that affect us when we are in psychic or mental rapport with others. Choosing some new emotional terrain to explore may help to discern the qualities of this experience.

June 5 Thursday
Play along with images that come to mind with this Cancer Moon. By mixing them up and creating various scenarios we may discover new potentials, not only for their use but also for other ways to be, personally. Opportunities are lost by dismissing them. Suspending familiar notions of reality can help our imaginations and emotions swirl into new conceptions of how we are connected to each other. Imagine letting a part of you usually hidden in your personal crab shell stick out and then imagine that it also exists in people you know. It can be as easy as visualizing the same stomach shared in everyone.

June 6 Friday
The Cancer Moon went void of course very early this morning, pouring out the last degrees of this self-protective water sign. During this time of heightened nuances, it is best to express some independence if restricted by others’ limitations. Retreating within can provide the freedom to explore psychic ways of socially connecting. At 4:00 pm, MT, the Moon moves into risk-taking Leo and. at 6:46 pm, she enters her crescent phase. Internal tensions can arise around the assumptions we make about being on the same wavelength with certain people. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

June 7 Saturday
With Saturday’s Leo Moon there may be an impatient edge in situations where it is important to recognize others’ rights, especially if group participation is desired. Off-the-cuff remarks may be mis-interpreted. It’s beneficial to focus on communalities and to demonstrate them. Sunday morning the Moon goes void of course at 9:41, MT, for almost eleven hours. This makes it harder for vociferous Leo to hold his own and to find space to do that, even on a day when opinions and strong ideas are plentiful. At 8:01 Sunday night the Moon moves into sobering Virgo.
