Last Quarter and Balsamic Moon

September 22 Monday
The last quarter Cancer Moon brings a comprehensive view of the status quo of the past. And through comparisons and contrasts she supports us in responding to present day understandings of then and now. With the Sun entering Libra at 9:45 am, MT, we can bridge any gap between the social expectations of our upbringing and contemporary prospects. Progress can be made by choosing to concentrate on necessary changes. Resolve and burning devotion to evolve oneself can assist in producing a setting that is in alignment with personal tastes and aspirations. Happy fall equinox!

September 23 Tuesday
With this Cancer Moon we may be suddenly and dramatically excited by a flood of information birthing new awareness of our learning habits. This compels us to see what truly fits and what doesn’t with who we believe ourselves to be at this point in our lives. By attending to our emotional needs, we may discover some unusual capacity that can open us up to more than we ever thought possible. The Moon goes void of course at 3:17 pm, MT, for the rest of the day. While the Moon easily pours out the influential waters of Cancer, we can effortlessly flow with the days revelations as long as we don’t resist change.

September 24 Wednesday
The Leo Moon dares us to join in an expression of group energy today. Such an effort may reveal more about how socialization processes have shaped our learning patte rns. The feverishness of political tensions offers several opportunities to engage socially. Internal pressure can be an indicator of a need to do something; but with Leo, it has to be on one’s own terms and not overly engrossed in outward appearances. To add to any stress or strain, the planet Mercury went retrograde early this morning, suggesting we seriously reconsider how we blow our horn in the company of others.

September 25 Thursday
The Leo Moon enters her balsamic phase at 10:36 am, MT. During this last part of the lunation cycle, we are encouraged to bring together practically everything that has occurred since August 30th to brew up new ways of experimenting with our personal lives. With Leo we need to avoid fanaticism and seriously question what is going on with us. Leo enjoys being at the center of attention, making dramatic announcements. Listen to what is expressed. Is it bragging or is it a portrayal of facts? By seeing and energizing the appropriateness and timeliness of behavior, we may be better equipped to face a new adventure.

September 26 Friday
The Leo Moon is voiding herself of do-or-die Leo this morning. We, too, can release excessive pride or extreme competitive urges. At 7:52 am, MT, the Moon moves into Virgo where discernment to accept or reject things internally is highlighted by her mostly hidden body during the balsamic phase. We can analyze and contrast behaviors to find their critical differences. This can assist us in making choices that draw our energies together to fit into a deeper matrix of life. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

September 27 Saturday
With this Virgo Moon we may be prompted to think about how we utilize information, how effective it is for mobilizing us towards some goal. Public media provides a forum for measuring the value we place in learning all sorts of things and in seeing them from different perspectives. Saturday’s Moon tries to bring us altogether to make contacts that surprisingly teach us something. One way to join in is to support us here at KSFR.org. We aim to promote diversity. Sunday, from 11:30 am to 2:05 pm, MT, the Moon voids herself of Virgo and then moves into relationship-conscious Libra!
