Gibbous and Full Moon

October 13 Monday
The gibbous Moon is in Aries with an adventurous mood to try anything and everything to improve conditions today. There may be a sense of arriving and departing. Self-control may be lacking, leaving one open to using devious means to promote one’s agenda. Some actions could backfire, resulting in self-exploitation. We may get in touch with our needs by heeding basic feelings and thoughts, seeing how they are related and from where did they originate. What are the unconscious or unspoken messages behind what we express to others about our desires?

October 14 Tuesday
The Aries Moon brings an urge to explore the vastness of the inner worlds where entirely new scenarios can be dreamed into being. At 2:04 pm, MT, the Moon gets completely lit up by the Sun and enters her full phase, not visible yet in most of the western hemisphere. The relationship between the conscious and subconscious realm gets illuminated, and revelations begin to dance in our heads about the difference between necessities and desires. Social and emotional responsibilities trigger thoughts about the interaction of generosity and envy, of wanting more and having enough.

October 15 Wednesday
The full Moon moved into Taurus early this morning, and Mercury in Libra, another Venusian sign, appears to stand still, changing direction to forward motion. All of this leans toward a need to access an ideal and a comfortable, serene place to mull over far-reaching thoughts and speculation.&n bsp; The fulfillment of desires permeates this Moon cycle, and now we may realize that some of those desires are hard to chew in these tumultuous times. Today’s issues may be on whether to fight for what has been longed for or to discard some craving and end the strife it generates.

October 16 Thursday
The Taurus Moon invites us to air out old moldy stuff to manage a temporary stage of readiness between how things use to be and a well-deserved innovative turn of events. If we are troubled by difficult circumstances, we can go beyond the boundaries of disturbances by using our sensitivities to hone in on what really counts. We can excite our desires by imagining all the things we can do with what is absolutely necessary in our lives. Make a list of all the things that would constitute paradise for you and that are presently affordable to you.

October 17 Friday
The Moon moved into Gemini early this morning. As the Moon ends h er full phase today, think of striking a balance between how you go after desires and how you go after necessities. Everything and anything can be activated. Joy comes in making the connections, in bringing situations to what they can be. Often it is our automatic thought responses to what is strange or uncanny that stand in the way of entering a whole new reality. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

October 18 Saturday
The Gemini Moon entered her disseminating phase last night, displaying a need to put out information that shares with others new awakenings to the changeable nature of reality. Think about how abundantly gifted humans are with a vast array of potentials and how taking the path less traveled may offer much more than those commonly advocated. This is a time of deepening understan ding that opens new vistas. Visionary thoughts may appear during the night as the Moon voids herself of Gemini. Early Sunday she moves into Cancer where feelings and thoughts converge around having a better life.
