Disseminating and Balsamic Moon

October 20 Monday
The disseminating Cancer Moon indicates a tendency to be overly engrossed in outward appearances. Yet it is important to be attuned to multiple avenues of incoming and outgoing images. Are we fully grounded and centered in the core of our being to know clearly what provides nourishment to the many levels of our existence and what doesn’t? Toward what authority on these matters do we have a subconscious inclination? Answering those questions may provide an amazing chance to emancipate oneself from some unsupportive associations and maybe some bad habits.

October 21 Tuesday
At 5:55 am, MT, the Cancer Moon enters her last quarter phase and goes void of course for almost three hours. This phase is about recognizing the worth of some recent realizations and reorienting oneself from the way things use to be toward an entirely new direction by weighing the benefits of crossing into unknown territory versus sticking to familiar behavior. The voiding Moon heightens sensitivity to hidden realms. At 8:35 am, the Moon moves into Leo, displaying an openness to feeling out some novel trend. Leo spotlights opportunities to exchange important bits of information.

October 22 Wednesday
The Leo Moon takes pride in the fulfillment of desires, and we may feel that by seeing our basic patterns and making different connections between them. We may take advantage of being extremely conscious of our privileges by radiating brightness warmed with love. In suc h a mood we can create a fluid stillness that can help us hone in on what really matters. The latter part of the day is filled with nuances of a sense of unbounded play contrasted with well-defined controls and limits. With Leo’s propensity to look out for number one, we may feel compelled to defend and assert oneself.

October 23 Thursday
The morning’s Leo Moon attunes us to the importance and power of seeing things openly and sharing those perspectives. At 11:53 am, MT, the Moon goes void of course for two hours. This can be a highly creative yet weird time while the Moon puts out the ghostly flames of Leo. At 1:40 pm, she moves into Virgo with haunting intimations of what is taking shape for the coming new Moon next week. Virgo also reminds us of the joys of celebrating what has come to past. There may b e, however, an inner reserve today when it comes to dealing with the compulsions or excitement of others.

October 24 Friday
With this Virgo Moon we may be keenly aware of arranging and rearranging certain associations to get a reality check on self-assertion. Today provides easy opportunities for confronting self-images and expanding upon their potential. This evening at 8:47, MT, the Moon enters her balsamic phase when it’s best to bring together practically every view we have of ourselves to brew up new ways of being. That includes those inclinations that dwell just below the surface in our conscious mind. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

October 25 Saturday
The balsamic Virgo Moon places us in perfect strategic situations to confront the truth of some underlying stuff that may be helpful in transcending some present conditions. The Moon goes void of course from 7:02 pm until 8:47 pm, MT, when she moves into Libra. That brief voiding period is ideal for tuning into nuances. Sunday’s Libra Moon brings a calmness supportive of weighing one’s inner dreams and choosing which ones to follow through on. This process may call for sorting out feelings with a mind set on not overextending oneself.
