Crescent, First Quarter, and Gibbous Moon

November 3 Monday
With this crescent Capricorn Moon, we may feel as if we’re on a mountain top with a 360 degree view, seeing it all, how we got what we wanted in the past and how that strategy won’t work now. There’s is no contentment there. A new way of sticking with the truth calls for taking a giant step towards displaying capabilities with a raw honesty. Late tonight the Moon goes void of course until 5:01 pm, MT, tomorrow, bringing some ideal or vision into concrete form for some and helping others discriminate between illusion and reality. Voting with clarity and deliberation may not be as easy as presumed.

November 4 Tuesday
The Capricorn Moon is void of course until late this afternoon. While the Moon is sweeping out the light of forthrightness and straight talk that distinguishes Capricorn, we may be affronted by inefficiency, such as that often seen in our under-funded voting structures. Activities that serve no purpose become annoying and are avoided. Inner discipline is weakened. At 5:01 pm, MT, the Moon moves into Aquarius, quickening excitement about the possible changes this election day can bring and strengthening a resolve for some inner and outer reform.

November 5 Wednesday
With this Aquarius Moon on the last day of her crescent phase, we may find ourselves extending what is possible through seeking the companionship of those who can help us progress to other levels of being. Linking to other realities can be difficult and may require complex networking. We may have the chance to use some unusual behavior to convince others and ourselves about what is real and what is not, which might help us decide between escaping into the familiarity of the past or choosing to explore future alternatives. The moon enters her action-oriented first quarter phase tonight at 9:03, MT.

November 6 Thursday
The first quarter Aquarius Moon urges us to wake up to our inner being and act on our heartfelt convictions. Now is the time. Some of us may have acted too quickly and made a mess of things. Don’t abandon the journey; engage a new approach. With embodied ambition we can take in broader experiences with a variety of attractive companions sharing similar values as long as we realize that the implications of common desires may uncover a diversity of expectations. Underlying stuff can reveal the fodder for actualizing our cultural dreams.

November 7 Friday
Early this morning the Moon moved into the flowing energy of Pisces, where it is sometimes difficulty to deal with reality. Pisces tends to aspire towards expressing some ideal with excellence, which can test one’s mettle. Today we may easily perceive how our desires shape the patterns of our lives as we let them move us along in the process of succeeding with our ambitions. Our movements and conversations can probe, reveal, or conceal underlying motives. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

November 8 Saturday
With this Pisces Moon much progress can be made if we have a feeling of spiritual unity that can provide us with whatever archetypal needs can fulfill our desires, and we let things simply emerge step by step. We need to accept present demands and not succumb to obstacles. Sunday morning the Moon is void of course for an hour of quiet centering, from 9:28 to 10:26 am, MT. Then she moves into the spontaneous action of Aries and enters her gibbous phase at 3:28 pm. This is a time of deliberate yet speedy work to watch how energetically one deals with the final flares of embodying the fullness of some goal.
