Last Quarter and Balsamic Moon

January 19 Monday
With this last quarter Scorpio Moon we may easily experience the personal resources we can draw upon that support change in our lives, especially the subtle breakthroughs that reveal to us what up to now has been unseen. With an inward focus and the Sun moving into Aquarius at 3:41 pm, MT, the path to progress is accessible, yet uncertainty about what’s to come lurks in the periphery of our emotional field. The Moon goes void of course at 8:37 pm until 10:30 am, MT, tomorrow. During that time illusions can be destroyed and new outlooks birthed.

January 20 Tuesday
Our presidential inaugu ration day starts out with a void of course Scorpio Moon, ideal for dreaming of emotional betterment for all. We can imagine the immense challenges ahead along with innumerable possibilities. At 10:30 am, MT, the Moon moves into optimistic Sagittarius. We can rekindle the soul or spirit of society by spreading comfort and joy in our personal groups and encouraging positive potential to emerge. With Sagittarius, perceptions can broaden. If we turn off the censoring and judging parts of our mental functions and stay open-minded, we may support some brave steps forward.

January 21 Wednesday
With this Sagittarius Moon, we may perceive a chance to come at our well-being from a different angle. This requires attention to intuitive flashes and a readiness to move in a different direction. Sometimes good intentions can make up for bad choices, but still,20in-flight corrections produce desired results. Anticipation and foresight of daily demands are distracted today by people and things we like. The Moon enters her balsamic phase tonight at 9:26 MT. Amidst all of our busy-ness we may sense a need for spiritual protection with a feeling of being on the edge of some advancing powerful forces wanting our attention.

January 22 Thursday
The Sagittarius Moon goes void of course at 9:24 am, MT, until late tonight. As she leaves the idealism and speculation of Sagittarius, we may find that we are spreading ourselves too wide. It is best to be practical and focus on committed activities without neglecting one’s own interests. There are sufficient impulses to be independent today to get in contact with spiritual aspirations that give a lot of freedom in relationships without excluding others. Being alone is conducive to having rich imaginings today. The Moon moves into community active Capricorn at 11:18 pm.

January 23 Friday
With this balsamic Capricorn Moon barely visible only in the pre-dawn hours, we may turn to our inner light to sense what is coming in the week ahead. It is the hidden guidance that comes from within that needs to be heeded on this day teeming with mass consciousness. It may feel safe and comfortable to tread in its flow. Yet there is an urge to galvanize all levels of one’s being to an attunement to the greater inner cosmos wherein epiphanies and faith can link past and future. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

January 24 Saturday
On this last day of a balsamic Capricorn Moon with no moonlight on the earth, we may feel more secure in psychic realms or other realities. Different and unusual contacts can be made now that support re-structuring some standards about how we schedule our daily lives. Each introduction is a letting go of some old way. The Moon voids herself, lets go of Capricorn Sunday morning and moves into Aquarius at 11:56 am, MT, Sunday. Then there is a sense of emerging perspectives as the Moon gets closer and closer to the Sun, eclipsing it after midnight, foreshadowing new ideas or paradigms.
