Last Quarter and Balsamic Moon

May 18 Monday
With Monday’s Pisces Moon, we may reach a synthesis of personal ways to get across structures that have had a separating effect on us. Pisces has a way of working out tensions that segregate so that rapport is established along with a feeling of being in sync. Every gesture we make today contains the potential synergy akin to that of a dance troupe in a chorus line or an army marching in a parade. A newly found sense of unity may have recently been attained that supports us in rallying around sociocultural rituals offering our best behaviors.

May 19 Tuesday
With this Pisces Moon we may feel the vastness of being one with a multitude of unique possible behaviors. We may be able to spontaneously adapt to any of them. Emotionally we may reconsider past ways of thinking about certain things and realize how much more can be accomplished. We each have talents and skills that collectively can project an ideal image of our humanity. The Moon goes void of course at 3:43 pm, MT, beginning to wash herself clean of visionary Pisces. For almost two hours we may easily escape into daydreaming or long for deliverance from our mundane tasks. At 5:30 pm, the Moon moves into go-getter Aries.

May 20 Wednesday
The spunky Aries Moon is ready to boldly take on a highly challenging day. Nebulous thinking makes it difficult to differentiate between truth and lies, what is genuine and what is artificial. Exaggeration and smug arrogant ways of thinking may be pervasive. Decisions that satisfy one’s desires to be of service won’t come easily and are better left for the month of June. The Moon enters her balsamic phase at 8:55 pm, MT. Maintaining peace of mind with a friendly, affable spirit alive to the moment may be the only way to snatch some fun and perhaps sweep others along in one’s exuberant, visionary energy.

May 21 Thursday
With this balsamic Aries Moon we may have the stamina to bear any burdens and go beyond outer appearances to find spiritual gifts. Self-assurance comes easily along with confidence to trust that all is well. The unspoken and the unknown along with the uncertainty they bear can be easily tolerated. At 4:36 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course for six hours of snuffing out the absent-minded sparks of Aries. Our energy may fizzle out during this time. So it’s best to yield to some level-headed thinking capable of choosing a path of little action.

May 22 Friday
The balsamic Taurus Moon is experienced at taking on all barriers with classy, well-prepared determination. We can extract the essence of what we have attained in this cycle and discard everything else as we are in the throes of conceiving a new cycle. Composure and staying-power can easily be accessed in most situations today as long as we stick with what is feasible. Taurus has an innate sense of what is worthwhile and supportive of personal values. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

May 23 Saturday
The Taurus Moon joins retrograde Mercury this afternoon for some interplay of emotions and thoughts that can bring deeper awareness of what really matters. The basic, simple, ordinary things of life may surprise us with their ability to broaden our imaginations if we’re open to re-thinking their meanings. The Moon goes void of course at 6:49 pm, MT, for almost six hours of sweeping off the natural beauty of Taurus, which can easily seduce us off track. We have a new Moon in Gemini at 6:11 am, MT, Sunday, with a theme of how we sense the divine in everyday things and celebrate it!
