Last Quarter and Balsamic Moon

June 15 Monday
The Pisces Moon is the mishmash of feelings that leave one befuddled. In that state of all-inclusiveness that can be optimal Pisces we can easily flow in and out of everything, flushing away various layers of abuse, particularly those self-inflicted and opening currents to fresh, wondrous life. Attending to such behavior can attune us to the last quarter Moon phase beginning at 4:15 pm, MT. The last quarter of a cycle directs us internally to see the value and purpose of what was seeded and bloomed during this lunation. During the week ahead we may feel the need to consecrate ourselves to protecting what is coming into being.

June 16 Tuesday
We have an Aries Moon ready to go out and have a totally new experience with a different headset. Aries, however, can quickly discard the past, being too distracted with what’s happening now. This can lead to a reckless disregard of the value of what has been learned, which can be problematic during the last quarter phase when a realistic appraisal of what has happened in the first three quarters feeds one’s visions of possible futures. Our concern needs to be with changing the way we see things and what we do with them.

June 17 Wednesday
With this Aries Moon effort is put into making big, idealized things happen. There is an electric atmosphere pushing us to overcome resistances. If we act, there can be sudden thrilling surprises. There can also be shockers. Mixing thoughts with feelings can fuel us to transcend disruptive energies. Take the time to consider what might be our reality if we break away from the past. All we need to do is act with the belief that our input will bear fruit. Old disappointments can be the foundation for breakthroughs. Aries reminds us to be like the salesperson who never gives up.

June 18 Thursday
This morning’s void of course Aries Moon may find us unable to fend for ourselves or take decisive action. At 8:21 am, MT, the Moon moves into Taurus where self-sufficiency can be useful in gradually making progress in detaching oneself from the past or from associations that hinder innovation. One might feel isolated today in being open to new possibilities. Taurean loyalty may balk at this, leaving one to cling blindly to the status quo. Taurus needs a constant reminder that the only reliable and dependable thing in living is change.

June 19 Friday
The Taurus Moon enters her balsamic phase at 7:22 am, MT. At this stage of the cycle we need to bring together practically everything of value from our past to brew up a new way, a fresh approach to viewing our lives. This may take some groping around for signs to follow. And Taurus calls for perseverance and concentration when climbing a narrow trail on a steep canyon wall. Let the overall view encourage each painstaking step. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

June 20 Saturday
The Moon moved into Gemini at 11:01 am, MT, after five hours of shaking off the broad based skills of Taurus. This afternoon we may encounter some unexpected issues lying beneath the surface appearance of circumstances. Staying open can bring out the beauty in almost anything. On Sunday Gemini inquisitiveness is best coupled with some careful, logistical thinking. Beware of gullibility. Passion and feelings are easily noticeable, triggering hot pursuits. Gemini can be indiscriminate in checking out attractions in the surroundings.
