Crescent and First Quarter Moon

August 24 Monday
With this morning’s Libra Moon, examine recent twists in relationships or the introduction of new elements in them. How do they contribute to your being on the brink of a new adventure? Are there admonitions? Warnings? Encouragement to take action? Does your involvement with others trigger indecisiveness, leaving you hesitant to commit? It’s time for some evaluation that specifies your desire not that of others. At 12:10 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course, blowing off the social concerns of Libra for an hour. At 1:16 pm, she moves into Scorpio, urging us to claim a path of our own.

August 25 Tuesday
With a Scorpio Moon our attention is drawn to underlying stuff disguised as clues in our observational field which help us identify a new direction and fuel us to take control in choosing a path that leaves behind what no longer supports our ability to evolve. Issues showing up today involve whether we fight to express our personal potential or recoil, feeling too vulnerable. There are many ideas vying against each other. Some are seeking the perfect solution, and others are saying just act, do anything that shifts the flow of one’s life. Express both by recalling perfect moments that have actions that can be duplicated.

August 26 Wednesday
The Scorpio Moon is like a flashlight shining on various feelings and attitudes in our inner landscape, offering glimpses at subconscious patterns. We can see the strange elegance of how some of our thoughts dominate and control any intrusion of wild, unexpected impulses. At 12:34 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course, opening the floodgates to release the intense and sometimes ruthless emotions of Scorpio into the evening hours. During this time we can deeply resign ourselves to flushing out stagnant elements of our lives that clutter our outlook. The Moon moves into upbeat Sagittarius at 9:16 pm.

August 27 Thursday
The Sagittarius Moon enters her first quarter phase at 5:42 am, MT. Make a clear choice to change some behavioral pattern, or, at least, observe how you do or don’t commit to such a process. By questioning our behavior we can get close to subconscious truths about how we work internally. Independent and free Sagittarius lives in an inner world with a wider awareness that transcends the mundane world. This sign is capable of profound honesty yet lacks an eye for detail and can easily slip into indiscriminate behavior, overdoing everything in a state of pretentiousness.

August 28 Friday
With Friday’s Sagittarius Moon we can see through some self-illusion, and by adjusting a basic mode of operation, put ourselves on track towards manifesting some latent power. Inner dissatisfaction and discomfort can be resolved by stirring up and expressing feelings. Settling into new patterns won’t, however, be easy. That may make one feel trapped. Consider the many roles that we each play, and favor the innovative ones today. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

August 29 Saturday
The Moon moved into Capricorn this morning at 8:44 am, MT, reminding us that it is our duty to claim our own power. This calls for actions that explore new emotional terrain and the development of potential. Capricorn can get stuck in old-fashioned ideas, thinking that her ideas are absolutely right. Pay close attention to encounters throughout the weekend that uphold and oppose your thoughts. And also watch how your reactions fluctuate. If your feelings alternate between a sense of inferiority and superiority, the old Capricorn goat has present you with the opportunity to thoughtfully balance some attitudes.
