Last Quarter and Balsamic Moon

November 9 Monday
The Leo Moon enters her last quarter phase at 8:56 am, MT. At this stage of the cycle we need to overcome barriers to experimenting with the deeper substance of life in such a way that we are able to go to a new level of meaning for our experiences. Today that calls for accommodating all sorts of hubbub with enthusiasm. If we can joyously sort out what needs to be dismissed from what definitely needs attention according to the dictates of our hearts, we may find a lightness of being that fulfills our needs. How we relate to our inner rhythms and highest calling can determine how we sense freedom.

November 10 Tuesday
The Leo Moon has been void of course all night, putting out the excitement of inspired creativity until 6:30 am, MT, when she moves into discriminating Virgo. Signposts of powerful change are easily discernable. They may, however, indicate a thorny or grimy passageway to a deeper matrix. Social interaction can facilitate access and progress. Over-confidence may thwart being able to succeed today and lead to a duplication of efforts no matter how strong they are. Be positive, eager to learn and share.

November 11 Wednesday
This Virgo Moon yearns for improvement which can come through guidance from unseen sources. We may feel wired to unusual perspectives and have difficulty being practical. This day may seem like living in a fairy tale spiced with weirdness. Virgo can keep us grounded, knowing what is real so that we can attend to essentials that relate to the innovation called for during this last quarter of the Moon cycle. Our minds can be alert to penetrate into the underlying patterns upon which we can construct changes. Tonight’s dreams may expose us to new ideas!

November 12 Thursday
The Virgo Moon is void of course, leaving the healing garden of Virgo for the social graces of Libra where she arrives at 10:22 am, MT. Our sense of relating to others and things picks up on how everyone and everything is becoming something else. Today feels like a powerful vortex or tornado is pulling us into something new with intimations of being marvelous. But first we must fortify ourselves against the blows of fate. Libra can get easily disappointed and affronted by a certain ruthlessness in the air today that doesn’t care how messy it can get in the process of overcoming old values.

November 13 Friday
Last night the Libra Moon entered her balsamic phase wherein it is important to chart a new vision for the near future. This may involve deviating from one’s present duties so that things can progress naturally. During this phase we need to let go of passing fancies and focus on seeing what’s essential. By being on the look-out, we can handle any situation and visualize desirable outcomes. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

November 14 Saturday
The Moon is void of course fanning off the graceful ideals of Libra, creating delicate feelings that can touch and inspire our innermost heart. At 3:24 pm, MT, the Moon moves into seductive Scorpio suggesting we plunge into the emotional essence of some current situation. We may be surprised by what we discover. On Sunday it’s best to join with others for some intimate sharing. There are some old raw truths about hardened power structures that need facing up to, and doing that with others can birth a new spiritual vitality.
