Gibbous and Full Moon

May 24 Monday
The Libra Moon entered her gibbous phase early this morning. It’s time to not only keep sharing important experiences one has had but also to figure out how clandestine activities have protected one when performing bravely with confidence. If some of one’s reputation was acquired underhandedly, now is the time to repair any wrongdoing. Libra is a sign dedicated to justice and represents the part of us that is capable of bridging any forms of right and wrong. Within this sign lay the skills to marry our bravado with our true self and dissolve any pretense. If you feel out of sync, now is the time for corrective action.

May 25 Tuesday
This Scorpio Moon brings a keen awareness of what has been acquired that has truly improved one’s life and also draws one’s attention to what losses have occurred as a result of possessiveness. At this point in the gibbous phase our biggest challenge is to bring together the gains and losses that have been the result of building confidence as well as a reputation. Such a process can test one’s limits. Think of today as an evaluation of how you rely on yourself and your powers, of how you measure up or weigh in on matters of authority and influence. This can raise your self awareness.

May 26 Wednesday
With today’s Scorpio Moon we are able to pierce through to the bare, stark patterns of how we acquire a reputation and how that process builds our confidence. The energy that fuels this endeavor is a measure of our self-sufficiency. Impatience and even some hot-headed, impulsive actions may be evident as we attempt to have our performance matter. Scorpio is tough and strong-willed, sometimes provoking what needs to happen for things to get better. There is no compromise for this sign if the reasons are worthless. But if Scorpio is ashamed of shortcomings or foul play, cover ups often thwart any improvement.

May 27 Thursday
The Moon moved into head-in-the-clouds Sagittarius at 5:15 am, MT. Sagittarius has a tendency to escape inward to gain greater understanding of things. By engaging in this function we may be able to ascertain a more comprehensive personal meaning of this lunation as the Moon receives the fullest amount of sunlight at 5:07 pm. During this full phase we may realize how our trophy experiences and reputation give us the confidence to go beyond accepted boundaries to pursue the desires of our hearts or keep us aloof, not willing to court surprises. But then we might be the recipient of the unexpected.

May 28 Friday
This Sagittarius full Moon tests us with her revelations. Our habituated unawareness may trigger a need to give up some privilege or some claim to success. Those of us who have been lazy, indolent, or spoiled to the point of not having to prove mastery at some skill may have to renounce our claim on such an attainment. Others of us may simply need to maintain a level of competence and also notice what is needed to keep our skills calibrated to their multiple uses. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

May 29 Saturday
After a couple of hours of releasing the other-worldly aspects of Sagittarius, the Moon moved into reticent Capricorn at 12:44 pm, MT. Issues of attachment, subservience, and independence flare up stimulating us to confront insecurities. Sunday provides circumstances best for evaluating how behaviors linked to confidence and reputation facilitate tapping deeper into our inner resources and how they quicken desires for heart to heart encounters. Feelings are more readily verbalized. At its best, Capricorn can present thoughtfully balanced attitudes and has a quiet courage fed by a hefty dose of self-control.
