Gibbous and Full Moon

July 19 Monday
With this Scorpio Moon it may be difficult to hide the intensity of feelings behind some verbal exchanges. The Scorpio part of us may want to stick with the usual banter that is generally expected in social celebrations. Most of the time Scorpio can hide feelings in a seemingly unfathomable internal labyrinth, but the changes sought after at this time require unraveling certain emotional patterns that are key to solving the mystery of how we get mesmerized by certain human dynamics. If we can shed some ego regarding our Scorpio energy, we may discover some amazing underlying realities.

July 20 Tuesday
At this time in the Moon cycle the Scorpio Moon brings up how well or not we are aware of social influences in our lives, of how we plead and maneuver for what we want. If we have put effort into discovering some habit of swaying others or of being moved by them, we may now find it easier to pursue the choice we’ve made about examining this part of ourselves. Or we may decide that another path to the truth needs to be taken. Submitting to some role playing with issues identified may reveal what needs to be separated out and or what needs to be integrated. The Moon voids herself of investigating Scorpio from 5:43 pm, until 5:48 pm, MT, and then moves into adventurous Sagittarius.

July 21 Wednesday
With this Sagittarius Moon comes sensitivity to the bonds formed with loved ones. Sentimental memories spark inclinations to follow our affections and satisfy them. Within this cycle it is important to notice if those inclinations reinforce influences that keep us stuck in the past. If so, the social dynamic needs to be directed so that it not only renews one’s capacity for love but also creates encouragement to pursue one’s independent ideals. Sagittarius idealizes the broader cultural level of interaction, but often lives in a world of his or her own making where he or she is free to joyfully pursue what matters most.

July 22 Thursday
Last night the Sagittarius Moon entered her gibbous phase. This is a time to seek verification that one is attending to the task of refining one’s perception of how one impacts others and or how others do the swaying. There may be new elements of this dynamic needing our attention. There are social standards to follow when recruiting or joining. It is ideal that the recruiter and the joiner each know what part is being performed. Integrity, especially for the individual, is a precious component of socio-political processes. The Sun moves into cheerful, magnanimous Leo at 4:21 pm, MT.

July 23 Friday
The Moon moved into self-controlled Capricorn early this morning. Carpe diem! Or, at least, seize the moment at first awareness of the opportunity to allow all sorts of progress to be made. Follow your own path and relationship issues will work themselves out. Capricorn wants to succeed and can adjust from an all or nothing mode to one of accommodating if necessary. Sometimes Capricorn will compromise for approval which can thwart the rebellious impulses of this cycle. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

July 24 Saturday
With this Capricorn Moon the status quo is not acceptable. The drive to succeed overcomes reluctance to change. Motivation to stand out in the crowd kicks in. On Sunday at 8:20 am, MT, the Moon begins to scrape off somber Capricorn. At 1:38 pm on Sunday she moves into dismissive Aquarius and toys with the elegance of standard classical ways and the innovative possibilities of moving forward. Sunday evening at 7:24 the Moon is at her fullest revealing how one might break away from old influences and shape things according to one’s individual preferences.
