Balsamic and New Moon

February 28 Monday
With this Capricorn Moon, accepting the consequences of our actions can support our creative ventures, and responsible commitments can lead to inner freedom to change the rules that govern us. At 12:09 pm, MT, the Moon enters her balsamic phase when we need to bring together practically everything in our current daily lives to brew up new impulses to evolve. This involves getting into a lofty head-space with an eye for the value of what pops into consciousness. It helps to cultivate sensitivity to real things of great worth so that there is no doubt as to the authenticity of whatever you are drawn to.

March 1 Tuesday
The Moon moved into Utopia-oriented Aquarius last night, and we wake up this morning to a sense of special alliances awaiting us. Affiliations that attract us today bear the promise of bringing us closer to an ideal. Being socially adaptable can be fun and can awaken one to some innovative prospects. Aquarius is sometimes compelled to deliberately upset the existing order of things. If the Aquarius part of us is struck by something wrong or out of place in some area of our lives, it wants to set it right and will set out to do just that. Aquarius can often be anti-status quo, actively working for renewal.

March 2 Wednesday
This Aquarius Moon defies convention with a display of deeply emotional appeals for either personal needs or for the collective good. Competing impulses are palpable, and the drama of inner conflicts can produce an active imagination. Aquarius can be bent on improving conditions. For clarity as to how to make use of this emotional energy, sort out feelings based on reality or practicality and on whether or not they involve others. Aquarius likes doing his own thing, but it’s hard to tell whether that trumps changing the world. This Moon wants progress both for self and others.

March 3 Thursday
Awakening with this Aquarius Moon feels like emerging from a cocoon into an unusual world. The Moon goes void of course at 7:37 am, MT, clearing off the intellectual waves of Aquarius for two hours, and leaving us feeling like a stranger in our frequented places and activities. At 9:47 am, the Moon moves into forgiving and all-accepting Pisces. Our knack for helping others, of lack thereof, is called upon today. There are openings to step forward and shine as a giving and contributing member of humanity. The alternatives are to fight or flee. Do what’s right for you and have mercy.

March 4 Friday
We have a new Moon in Pisces at 1:46 pm, MT. The impulses birthed at this time have to do with attraction. How do you act when you are magnetically drawn to someone or something? Do you camouflage your desire and shape-shift into a protective guise so that you don’t drown in the allurement? Or do you dive in and immerse yourself in the experience? Pisces can delight all the senses with her dream world. Yet it can easily be an illusion. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

March 5 Saturday
This Pisces Moon presents a day as if on a stormy sea. It can be full of highs and lows depending on the limitations that we control. The Moon leaves Pisces tonight and moves into unstoppable Aries. With this Moon we get fired up on Sunday to explore the many masks that we wear. One of them gives us a sense of an emerging direction that can open us to a world of change. Disguises offer us opportunities to re-interpret things by helping us see them in new contexts. Aries takes every chance available to experience the surroundings in ways not yet encountered. This sign has nothing to hide. Do you suppress that tendency?
