Disseminating and Last Quarter Moon

March 21 Monday
This last day of the Moon’s full phase begins with a Libra Moon highly graced with sensitivity to embrace all the complexities of life and find room for almost all the possible variations. By setting out to observe how behavior can be designed to shift according to the need or desire for camouflaging or attracting, we can learn much about how we move from one level of existence to another. The Moon goes void of course at 12:35 pm, MT, fanning off the charm of Libra until 1:17 pm, when she moves into the merging energies of Scorpio. With this sign we can be more aware of states of allurement or hypnotic fascination.

March 22 Tuesday
With this Scorpio Moon we are reminded of our ability to rise above the most dismal circumstances and make a new start. The Moon enters her disseminating phase at 4:51 pm, MT. Over the next three days we can recognize behaviors that limit our independence, such as times when we hide and don’t draw attention to ourselves, thinking it’s better that way. Some part of that might just be an illusion waiting to be punctured. The disseminating phase fosters letting go of the past for a new freedom. There is a danger, however, of over dramatizing the shadow side of some pattern.

March 23 Wednesday
With this Scorpio Moon we may be changing plans as well as the references we usually use to figure out what is wrong. There’s an edginess that comes when in a fog. At 2:08 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course, washing off the destructive side of Scorpio. For less than an hour, we, too, can detach ourselves from negativity. At 2:45pm, the Moon moves into the communally-spirited sign of Sagittarius, and we can re-kindle inspirational fire to break free of the past and move forward. Sagittarius offers encouragement to venture in a direction that will shape some ideal.

March 24 Thursday
This Sagittarius Moon brings up cultural issues that have influenced patterns of attracting and repelling. It is important to understand these factors in order to bring in new or different approaches. The interdependence of personal behaviors with cultural behaviors is interwoven in so many various ways and often stands in the way of making changes, leading to a slipping back into a familiar habit. Sometimes this can be an excuse to keep things as they are. Sometimes this is the lack of courage to adhere to an inner code that transcends man-made customs and laws with which Sagittarius can occasionally collide head-on.

March 25 Friday
With this Sagittarius Moon we can recognize the perfect rhythm for resolving dilemmas we may have encountered lately over cultural or philosophical issues. Emotional upheavals can be sorted out by peeling away factor after factor to get to the simple core of the matter. The Moon voids herself of Sagittarius fervor from 7:25pm to 7:57 pm, MT, when she moves into the comprehending and achieving world of Capricorn. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

March 26 Saturday
The Capricorn Moon entered her last quarter phase this morning. During this time of approximately four days, we need to assume the onus of responsibility for our shape-shifting behavior which attracts or wards off people or things, as well as those habits which trap us in the magnetic field of others or things. The last quarter phase urges us to overcome barriers to new alliances or new ways of being. It may be difficult to make decisions this weekend as bubbles get burst. On Sunday making improvements feels like a long uphill climb, as we emotionally recognize what has been and what can be done.
