New and Crescent Moon

April 4 Monday
The new Moon is void of course, snuffing out the impetuous motion of Aries, leaving us feeling a bit lost. Going after yesterday’s impulses may seem like chasing rainbows. We want to make things better, yet any actions taken during this morning and afternoon best be based on inner wisdom. We may tend to act instinctively based on information that has not yet come fully into our consciousness. Neptune, having entered Pisces this morning, adds to the dreamlike quality of the day. At 5:46 pm, MT, the Moon moves into the solid world of Taurus, and our natural responses to basic needs seem to flow more easily.

April 5 Tuesday
With this Taurus Moon we can smoothly handle obligations while getting a sense of some new ground to turn over, figuratively speaking. The spirit within us is finding openings to present new notions of paradise. Check out what attracts you. At 4:02 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course, sweeping off Taurus’s valuable tidbits until Thursday morning! This period can be full of enticements. Yet we may feel like we’re knee-deep in mud, barely able to move around. The best position is a prostrate one though impractical. During this time be compliant but not a doormat.

April 6 Wednesday
The Moon continues to void herself of Taurus, a sign that can be clingy, holding on to having things just as they are instead of allowing them to become something else. This earthy sign is closely associated with the garden of Eden as representing “the good old days” that memory holds as perfect. During this time of the Moon getting rid of Taurus, there can be reminders for us that our earth journey is one of evolving. With today’s voiding Moon we may find it difficult to shield ourselves from distasteful energies or avoid unpleasant situations. Yet attuning to our inner light and good intentions can bring happiness.

April 7 Thursday
The Moon moved into inquisitive Gemini early this morning, bringing sensitivity to broad concepts, even if they cannot be easily verbalized. The Moon enters her crescent phase at 10:15 am, MT. During the next four days we need to carefully and vigilantly tend to impulses that have emerged regarding an insight that can lead to a new synthesis of our lives. This may call for independent judgment, leading to taking a stand on pressing issues. There’s a boost of energy this morning to overcome any inertia over matters that transcend one’s usual activities. By keeping in contact with inner wellsprings, we can gather more information about a new phase of existence.

April 8 Friday
By starting the day out quietly with this Gemini Moon we may trigger a string of synchronous encounters which can stimulate our thinking. Self-realizations can abound, transporting us mentally to further explorations. Our brains may feel like they are working overtime pushing and extending ideas, going over concepts again and again. The Moon goes void of course at 8:24 pm, MT, until tomorrow afternoon, leaving us in a disoriented state while blowing off Gemini in every possible direction. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

April 9 Saturday
The Moon has been voiding herself of the interactive, accumulative data-gathering energies of Gemini all morning, leaving us over-stimulated and perhaps confused. At 3:02 pm, she moves into the warm embrace of Cancer, highly sensitive to emotional needs that get triggered by some unstable influences. On Sunday questions may arise about a course of action decided upon earlier. There may be concern for how one has paced certain activities or overlooked some provision. Cancer can help us adapt to life’s demands. This sign tries to fit into specific circumstances but also can be vulnerable to exploitation.
