First Quarter and Gibbous Moon

April 11 Monday
At 6:05 am, MT, the Cancer Moon enters her first quarter phase. This is the first day of taking decisive action to nurture a new way of thinking about our inherent goodness versus our erring ways. The Moon, however, goes void of course for the rest of the day as she begins this phase, releasing the crab shell to rinse off Cancer’s adeptness at building something. Supportive structures can seem meaningless for us. To withdraw becomes the easiest course. It may be a struggle to pursue emerging directions. But if we rely on our instincts for where to put in effort, we may find openings that nurture our evolution.

April 12 Tuesday
This Leo Moon brings a playful, creative focus on what we want. Delight can be found in imagining possible futures that you can put your sights on manifesting. Intuition can bring intimations of what forces and beliefs are behind the realities we are grabbling with these days. How can some of those energies be used to establish a pleasing social environment for you at this time. Leo promotes spontaneity, and some off-the-cuff actions may lead to a self-realization that can make an amazing difference. Leo admires the world that reflects him. And that Leo part of us may consciously rejoice with such feedback!

April 13 Wednesday
With this Leo Moon we can smoothly resonate with the beat of our heart and see how the course we are on is playing out. Are we truly aspiring to perceive new elements in an old myth or are we merely engaging in make-believe? The Moon goes void of course, at 1:58 pm, MT, blowing out the active self-discovery of Leo for almost nine hours. We have several long days of a voiding Moon this month, which can bring about an inability to hold one’s own or even one’s space. This is a time in which the floodgates are open on a psychic level, and we can be easily swayed. With the Leo Moon the child in us gets disoriented.

April 14 Thursday
The Virgo Moon supports the grasping of techniques that work. We can make tracks and outsmart even the old part of us that has learned many skills. Virgo often thinks twice before accepting things. This sign shops around for tools and ideas. At 4:24 pm, MT, the Moon enters her gibbous phase lasting until Sunday’s full Moon. During this time a sense of perfection can be found by using behaviors that work in developing what you are attending to, even if it is incongruous with your nature. This lunation suggests pairing up, even if it is just with some inner part of you with whom you carry on an internal dialogue.

April 15 Friday
With this Virgo Moon there are interactions with stuff or people which can trigger emotional baggage. If we can unload quickly or already have let go of old feelings, we can experience freshness in some encounters. At 2:49 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course, sweeping off the adapting and modifying skills of Virgo for the rest of the day. During this time we may feel inept to do much and overwhelmed by external stimuli.

April 16 Saturday
The Libra Moon feels more comfortable pairing up than going solo. Anticipation increases on Saturday as the Moon gets closer to aligning with her partner the Sun. Energies are converging towards greater clarity. On Sunday security is found in bringing together knowledge to create new interpretations of some myth we’ve been living. We have a full Moon at 8:44 pm, MT. This full phase brings spiritual companions to assist us in confronting some collective assumptions. Some of us may realize that we have been entrapped in a lower plane of reality and need to access ways to be in harmony with a different perspective.
