Full and Disseminating Moon

May 16 Monday
This gibbous Scorpio Moon day whirls together ideas and information in collaborative processes. Extremes stand out, and finding a harmonious center is like trying to stop right on an imaginary line while racing in a swimming pool. Being adamant on standards won’t help either although some tangible evidence is appreciated. Give the benefit of the doubt when making decisions today. At its best Scorpio can analyze things impersonally and burrows into problems to understand them from inside. Revelations on how we tend to carry our burdens are dripping into our consciousness on this day before the full Moon.

May 17 Tuesday
The Scorpio Moon was at her fullest at 5:09 am, MT, beginning a phase of illuminating how we get in step with the baggage we carry. Do we disrupt other activities or pick ourselves up a notch to keep up with customary behaviors? Do we get others in step with us, or do we follow someone else’s rhythm? The Moon also goes void of course with this fullness, unplugging the enriched, revealing waters of Scorpio until 11:22 am, when she moves into truth-seeking Sagittarius. Ultra-sensitivity sets up roadblocks to being carefree in the company of others. New perspectives encourage new directions.

May 18 Wednesday
With this Sagittarius full Moon our intuitive floodlights beam on an entirely new direction from the cultural ways which we conform to automatically. Here is an opportunity for a more mature and solid future, not one of conforming to antiquated expectations that need to be worked over. Sagittarius can provide the courage and confidence to listen to the voice of one’s inner genius. This Sag part of us has access to profound, deep insight, wisdom, and inspiration that can lead us to a truth that supersedes the morals and ethics of our political, ethnic, and religious cultures.

May 19 Thursday
The Sagittarius Moon goes void of course at 8:17 am, MT, shutting off the oxygen that feeds this enthusiastic sign for six hours. Issues around groundedness and practicality may arise during this period. Focusing on committed activity is optimal while giving oneself permission to explore new emotional options and/or spiritual experiences. At 2:16 pm, the Moon moves into the deeply thoughtful and intellectually inclined sign of Capricorn. This sign can enhance the part of us that it represents with a boosted sense of personal authority. It’s a good time to decide what you really need and invent a way to have it.

May 20 Friday
This Capricorn Moon urges us to choose a path that brings out our potential to have a life of self-mastery. Today we can easily see what is obvious about our identity, and we can search for hidden meanings about our capabilities. Hints and innuendoes abound and lead to discoveries about the spirit within us. The Moon enters her disseminating phase at 4:06 pm, MT. The next four days are best used for ritual celebration of one’s truth, including the deficiencies and splendor. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

May 21 Saturday
This Capricorn Moon offers toughness to confront collective assumptions about the nature of us humans, like just how good are we or how selfish are we? The Moon goes void of course at 3:04 pm, MT, shaking off the purposefulness of Capricorn for five and a half hours. We may feel like escaping to some solitary space where the importance of our worldly goals gets minimized. At 8:32 pm, the Moon moves into inconsistent Aquarius and presents us with a hodgepodge of ways to reconstruct some old habit. Sunday we’re confronted with an assortment of transitions that we’d rather evade, or at least wait to see what happens.
