Balsamic and New Moon

June 27 Monday
With this Taurus Moon, it may be beneficial to find a safe haven in which to make plans that can potentially fulfill future expectations. At 7:39 am, MT, the Moon enters her balsamic phase. From now until Friday, a future orientation can be fruitful for improving one’s situation. Get specific about what you hope for. At 10:24 am, MT, the Moon goes void of course, shedding the security of Taurus until tomorrow morning. During this time one can be easily fooled about what is a sure thing. Be protective of your resources, be they money, time, or talents. Dream about what you want, and don’t be swayed by others opinions.

June 28 Tuesday
The Moon is in Gemini, raising issues about how to make radical progress. Our internal parts are revved up to source the juice that moves us forward. Making contact can generate major change that propels us into new territory. Gemini impatience, however, can miss the target by being in too much of a hurry, resulting in meaningless and haphazard activity. The Gemini part of us must gather discipline to look below the surface and dig deep for what is sought. Have a single idea or project in mind today and stay with it as if tethered to it. Gemini minds seem to have no boundaries.

June 29 Wednesday
With this Gemini Moon comes a sense of anticipation and excitement. Gemini can be caught up in multi-tasks yet maintain a state of detached observation. This can be handy in collecting information about how to express individuality within common, ordinary, group activity. Gemini seeks to see everything while doing several things at once. When reflecting on all of this data, one can sense the underlying order in one’s life and project what is coming next. Gemini intuitively knows how to fit in anywhere, choosing to belong rather than separate from the masses.

June 30 Thursday
The Moon is voiding herself of the spiritual associations of Gemini this morning, reminding us to focus on shared visions of the future. At 10:13 am, MT, she moves into the all-embracing arms of Cancer, a sign that promotes the individual within the familial circle. Loyalty is not always a given within a family, and today feelings of being trapped or hemmed in by clannish groups are strong. Conflicts arise between freedom and security needs. There’s the urge to heed a different drummer. Reactionary feelings prevail this evening, but there may be an inclination to suppress emotions for the sake of harmony.

July 1 Friday
At 2:54 am, MT, we have a solar eclipse visible off the coast of Antarctica. This Cancer New Moon triggers an impulse of shaping the strength and beauty of one’s potential. How does one bring out the various facets of dormant capabilities? What has prevented some brilliance from shining forth in the Cancer area of one’s chart? Between now and the fourth of July notice if or how you sidestep difficult tasks. They may be beckoning you towards some new self-discovery. From 5:37 am, until tomorrow afternoon we have the uncertainty yet hyper-sensitivity of the Moon voiding herself of Cancer. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

July 2 Saturday
The Moon is void of course, emptying herself of boundary-less Cancer while we may feel most comfortable withdrawn into our own shells. At 3:43 pm, MT, the Moon moves into self-confident Leo. Our Leo component may be concerned about our creativity and engage in some self-exposure. Leo wants appreciation or at least equal access to it today. On Sunday morning some restrictions to adventurous exploits may be felt as the Moon begins to void herself of rambunctious Leo at 10:26 am, MT, until Monday evening. The atmosphere may get somber as fun gets elusive.
