Gibbous and Full Moon

July 11 Monday
The profoundly insightful Sagittarius Moon enters her gibbous phase at 10:47 am, MT. Up till the full Moon early Friday morning, we need to play along with whatever potential is developing by using a technique that works even if it is radically different from typical behavior. Finding the right vibe or emotional energy which gets things to flow smoothly towards some conclusion is necessary to gain the insights offered by this Moon cycle. We can be moved along swiftly with the learning opportunities available to us today. Sagittarius fosters wider inner awareness.

July 12 Tuesday
This Sagittarius Moon offers us the chance to take things in as they happen, giving us the gift of the fullness of life. At 6:21 am, MT, the Moon goes void of course for the rest of the day. While she is smothering the external enthusiasm of Sagittarius, we may become swallowed up in an internal journey, searching for the juice that powers us to actualize our potential. The voiding Moon is often accompanied by instability and sometimes apathy. And Sagittarius can slide into depression after overdoing or overreaching. This Sagittarius Moon may find us looking for easy gains or shortcuts. The best of those is opening up to higher inspiration.

July 13 Wednesday
The Moon is still emptying herself of hopeful Sagittarius until 8:14 am, MT, when she moves into truthful Capricorn. By taking an honest appraisal of where we stand potentially in the bigger scheme of things, we may be able to galvanize issues and strive to tackle them. Strong feelings can propel us to other levels of experience. They can be inner teachers that uphold or oppose some of our beliefs about reality. Capricorn has theories about everything and believes in taking a stand. The Capricorn part of us may be helpful in instructing us about our intent, or lack thereof, to bring some potential into actuality.

July 14 Thursday
On this last day of a gibbous Capricorn Moon it is best not to take things for granted while continuing to work on some capacity, clarifying the strengths and stresses of it. Capricorn prefers a practical approach to things, but today may show up in behavior that is too finicky, getting bogged down in minutia. If you find yourself wasting time in repetitive motions, double-checking superfluous matters, ask yourself how helpful are you being. Gently insist that you focus on the whole picture and accomplish what really counts. The Moon will be at her fullest after midnight, showering revelations into the dream world.

July 15 Friday
We had a full Moon at 12:40 am, MT, beginning a phase of revelations about how we achieve our potential, or not. Notice how you feel about social recognition. Is it fitting? Do you really have the courage to be yourself full-on? How can your life be an ongoing creation? The Moon is void of course after her fullest moment, shoveling off the seriousness of Capricorn until 2:30 pm, when she moves into innovative Aquarius with a mindset of advancing to a deeper emotional core. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

July 16 Saturday
The full Aquarius Moon brings an energized group spirit to get into the heat of things and question our motivations for shaping our potential. Aquarius can make huge claims and promises for the future, appealing to others’ self-centered urges. Of course Aquarius accepts subjective freedom and independence but prefers a base level of objective equality. Aquarius relates to common space for everyone to prepare for those moments of breaking loose and expressing uniqueness. On Sunday at 6:23 am, MT, the Moon goes void of course, blowing off the inventiveness of Aquarius for the rest of the day. Security is found in numbers.
