Balsamic and New Moon

July 25 Monday
The Taurus Moon goes void of course at 7:12 am, MT, for a little over three hours of shedding the natural beauty fixations of Taurus. During this time one might succeed at releasing sentimental attachments to some antiquated behavior. At 10:34 am, the Moon moves into youthful Gemini, reminding us that we’re never too old to have a youthful curiosity about those new behaviors or things we let into our lives. Don’t be inhibited by common images of aging. New life can be cultivated to fit one’s personal needs without being naïve. There are unlimited possibilities of reinventing habits.

July 26 Tuesday
With this Gemini Moon there is an articulation of how tradition gets enlarged. As things never before noticed get pointed out, brought into the light, hidden nuggets of potential get examined and tested for innovative purposes. Gemini inquisitiveness can take us in many directions, experimenting with a new awareness. At 10:32 pm, MT, the Moon enters her balsamic phase. Most of the Sun’s light has oozed off of her. But by surrendering to the information that comes in the darkness, she can envision ways of bringing light to dark places to study the past and find overlooked facts that can change the whole picture.

July27 Wednesday
This Gemini Moon opens to all directions at once and offers choices for safe exploration. In her balsamic phase she beckons us to reflect on the seasonal cycles of one’s life and how we have named a space for ourselves. There’s the possibility of a clear self-portrait in this context along with a few surprises. Appreciating the flow of self-discovery leads to recognition of what can be improved or developed anew with greater knowledge. The Moon begins to void herself of Gemini’s endless information at 6:35pm, MT, for almost an hour. Minds begin to wander, and speech becomes vague. At 7:11 pm, the Moon moves into caring Cancer.

July 28 Thursday
With this Cancer Moon more and more self-knowledge pours into our awareness. This learning can be quite attractive, yet it is possible to turn a deaf ear on it. There’s a shift of emphasis today from listening to the heart to listening to the rational mind as slow moving Mercury leaves Leo and enters Virgo. Venus, however, moved into Leo, attracting us to the heart’s feelings. The real challenge of the day is to grasp and delight in each passing moment. The Moon goes void of course at 5:03 pm, MT, washing off instructive Cancer until early Saturday morning. Gullibility can prevail during this time.

July 29 Friday
We have a void of course, balsamic Cancer Moon all day. This brings perfect conditions for staying at home, nursing the feelings you want to have while listening to emotionally sensitive music. If you must go out, stick to what needs to be done without unrealistic expectations. Adapt to what shows up, and continue to believe in having an ideal life of manifesting your dreams. Make an effort to connect with others on an emotional or intuitive level.

July 30 Saturday
The Moon moved into Leo just after midnight, revving up excitement with being a new Moon at 12:40 pm, MT. We’re at the beginning of a lunation about expressing the passion we have for our beliefs. Being able to do that strengthens one’s self- confidence and ability to perform with integrity. So how do we do that? Over the next two and a half days, notice how you stand for what’s important to you. Give yourself permission to explore new emotional options that support what you stand for. Sunday morning inner longings get stirred. Strut them like a courageous Leo.
