Last Quarter and Balsamic Moon

September 19 Monday
This Gemini Moon is like cunning twins switching roles with a secret code to get around accountability issues. Some relationships are like roads. They transport us to other places. The key is to link with those who find good conditions, better alternatives that might be missed on our own. Authenticity brings strength and rightness. If compulsive routines are being displayed, take a detour. Let your curiosity be the guide. Gemini can automatically fit in anywhere. By following your whims regarding the Gemini territory of your chart, you can meet a twin soul just by coincidence or chance.

September 20 Tuesday
The Gemini Moon enters her last quarter phase at 7:39 am, MT, when the purpose of this lunation is revealed, and with that knowledge there is a need to reorient oneself regarding some aspect of the future. In this cycle that involves freeing oneself from some daily pressures in order to streamline some ordinary everyday activity. At 10:34 am, the Moon goes void of course for over two hours of shaking off the many lessons of Gemini. During this time we may feel scattered and disorganized. At 12:53 pm, the Moon moves into image-rich Cancer where our minds can quickly snatch and explore new ways of being.

September 21 Wednesday
The last quarter Cancer Moon has a difficult time relinquishing the past. Even though there is a strong feeling of autonomy in the Cancer area of our individual lives, there is an ever-present fear, just below the surface of consciousness that something will go wrong, even if it is just those unavoidable pressures of life in general that place demands on us. Now is the time to listen to those internal processes that encourage us to creatively piece together images of doing something differently and trust that the outcome will provide for our needs. Cancer is a natural developer or builder.

September 22 Thursday
This Cancer Moon symbolizes the invisible community which supports one’s personal goals. Feeling this, one can heed one’s calling and grab the moment to follow one’s creative impulses. What is essential is that the outer activity fits one’s inner nature. The Cancer crab has to come out of her shell to really know if there is a match. She’s good at cultivating what is needed, makings things complete. At 7:22 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course, rinsing off the remaining bits of Cancer’s protective coating for thirty-three minutes. At 7:55pm, she moves into the charm and charisma of Leo to cheer in autumn with the equinox tomorrow.

September 23 Friday
The Leo Moon rose in the sky ahead of the Sun and heralding it, as it moved into the sign of Libra at 3:05 am, MT, marking the autumnal equinox and changing conditions of the year. The Leo Moon urges us to boldly get in tune with this season of celebrating the vibrancy experienced so far during the year and to gently begin the process of willingly letting go of what has been in preparation for some new experiences. Our sensitivity to nature is being called forth. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

September 24 Saturday
The Leo Moon entered her balsamic phase last night, beckoning us to draw on inner resources to find some incentive to continue evolving and reaffirming the cycles of life. Saturday is marked by a subconscious current that connects what’s going on externally to things perhaps still hidden within us. Something wants to come out of dormancy. At 8:40 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course for an hour of pulling the curtain down on the effervescence of Leo, and at 10:49 pm, she moves into Virgo, the sign that is often close to subconscious truths. Inner awareness increases on Sunday, and at 1:47 pm, the Moon begins to void herself of Virgo’s focusing ability until Monday night.
