Balsamic and New Moon

November 21 Monday
This waning Libra Moon reminds us of how relationships and affiliations shift as we evolve. Various kinds of love can remain while the frequency of involvement lessens. Today the threads of fate that weave one in and out of others’ lives are visible along with the warmth of love that keeps spinning those yarns. Libra desires social participation. The Libra part of us cannot imagine life as a hermit. At 5:46 pm, MT, the Moon enters her balsamic phase, when she urges us to revisit every insight we’ve had on our social behavior and envision them as taking us on a spiraling path to a new level of spiritual participation.

November 22 Tuesday
This balsamic Libra Moon delivers patience and forbearance. Libra can be keenly aware of the right time and place for just about anything. This can mean doing without or not being close to those we love during this holiday week. We may indulge others to overcompensate, as the Sun moves into Sagittarius this morning, warming up our heart’s memories of shared quests. Gaps will be bridged today for communion. At 4:04 pm, MT, the Moon begins to void herself of obliging Libra for almost three hours. During that time we may easily put other people’s needs first. At 6:58 pm, the Moon moves into union-seeking Scorpio.

November 23 Wednesday
With this Scorpio Moon there’s a fully powered drive to understand the cultural forms that keep us renewing and fulfilling collective functions, like gathering to celebrate commonalities. This balsamic Moon has a secretive aura, hiding what’s really going on for many individuals bent on holiday preparations. Scorpio can be very reserved, putting up barriers with a rough and tough façade, covering up the emotional pressures. If the Scorpio part of us can find the true common denominator with others on this holiday eve, we can feel close to everyone, acknowledging our membership in the collective.

November 24 Thursday
This holiday begins with a Scorpio Moon and a retrograde Mercury. This duo suggests we work out the day in an imaginary scenario and be realistic. The Moon goes void of course at 4:05 pm, MT, dissolving the mysterious aura of Scorpio as well as its weakness for greediness. Be aware of overeating today. Trying to be inconspicuous or sneaky at tasting some of the special foods is a red flag! During this three hour voiding period, it is best to focus on gratitude. Feel it in your heart! At 6:57 pm, the Moon moves into gregarious Sagittarius and covers the Sun at 11:10 pm for a solar eclipse, stimulating us to do our best! Happy Thanksgiving!

November 25 Friday
The Sagittarius new Moon urges us to pay attention to strategies, even those little ones, like how do you move through the morning to set up the day as you want it to be. Today, however, may not be your typical Friday. Unusual opportunities may distract and allure us onto a path towards some amazing connections that the time is ripe for having. Internal churnings verify the rightness of such links that may also bring a sense of déjà vu. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

November 26 Saturday
With this Sagittarius Moon we can take a panoramic view of the weekend with an eye for those times when activities and goals switch. At those moments notice what needs repair or reform to bring it out of hiding. The Moon goes void of course at 5:06 pm, MT, for three hours of smothering out the quests of Sagittarius. During this time wandering aimlessly may be an avoidance tactic. At 8:04 pm, the Moon moves into the structured world of Capricorn. On Sunday morning confrontations with secret maneuvers to juice up the day reveal complex motivations. Overindulgence brings clashes.
