Gibbous and Full Moon

December 5 Monday
The Moon is in Aries, generating a sense of direction which can motivate our every move if we follow our intuition. If we use the playfulness of a romantic couple to put things into perspective with appropriate timing, we just might have some flashbulb moments, capturing the complexities of a social interaction. The youthful mind of Aries may have some mature overview of how some of us operate in the game of life. Aries can be like the vulnerable king in a chess game. Occasionally foolhardy, unaware of courting danger with every move, he is sometimes disloyal to those he depends upon to survive.

December 6 Tuesday
At 5:36 am, MT, the Aries Moon enters her gibbous phase. A need arises during this time to play along with what is developing by using a technique that comes naturally or simply that works to tie things up, even if it is awkward. In this cycle that requires us to look at social engagement, it is time to let our differences and distinctions stand out. A variety of poses and performances might be needed to get the desired response and recognition. The Moon has been dousing out, voiding herself, of self-centered Aries since 4:13 am, and at 7:34 am, she moves into grounded Taurus, replacing some big-headed ego with some realistic values.

December 7 Wednesday
At the start of the day with this Taurus Moon we can direct our emotional forces to escape ruts and burdensome problems. By avoiding outlived social structures we can be drawn into a more solid foundation for a new reality. By working with unusual combinations of tasks and people, we can achieve results beyond our expectations. A key ingredient is finding some symbolic element possessed by all parties and objects involved. Taurus has broad-based skills and a strong, steady creative urge which can be a persistent drive to create a pleasing environment.

December 8 Thursday
The Taurus Moon has solid ties to Mother Nature. Her emotional attachments are usually well grounded in the body. Today, however, feelings seem detached from physical reality. It’s like we’re lost in space instead of being anchored in our bodies. Emotions serve us best when felt in our cells and working with our physical movements, not escaping into some imaginary realm. At 4:40 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course, sweeping off the tactile experiences of Taurus for three hours during which we may lose our sense of boundaries. At 7:52 pm, the Moon moves into observant, well-wired Gemini!

December 9 Friday
The Gemini Moon offers experiences of a polarization between feelings and thoughts this morning. Social interactions may become disjointed, as if vying to have something over another. Later in the day there is an intense concentration of emotional energies that if used with restraint can produce results desired. There’s an element of wild excitement that may be hard to harness tonight. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

December 10 Saturday
The Gemini Moon was at her fullest at 7:36 am, MT, and eclipsed by the earth, bringing us into dark places in our subconscious mind where we might have been ignoring some ancient wisdom that if heeded would bring us the success we seek with all of our maneuvers through the game of life. During the night the Moon voids herself of informative Gemini and moves into Cancer at 6:26 am, MT, Sunday. Conflicts between freedom and security arise. We may want moral support to change, yet feel trapped in seeking help rather than acting independently.
