New and Crescent Moon

February 20 Monday
This Aquarius Moon on the last day of her balsamic phase supports proficiency at work while dwelling on inspirations for innovations. Aquarius fever for progress calls for burning up conventional ideas and funneling all of one’s efforts into brainstorming action plans for the independence that the Aquarius part of one’s chart thrives on. A unique Aquarian experience is one of individual pursuits which enhance life for all. The Aquarius in each of us can be self-sufficient and little-known to others, as it prefers some social distance. Sometimes this tendency can seem alienating.

February 21 Tuesday
The Aquarius Moon goes void of course at 9:17 am, MT, for over an hour of canceling out innovative ideas that are improbable. At 10:31 am, the Moon moves into undifferentiating Pisces. At 3:35 pm, a new Moon cycle begins full of impulses and encounters with some crystallized behavior which may need to be thawed and given a whole new action. Help will be needed, and we can start by assessing spiritual inner sources and guides to truth-detection. Psychic discrimination will be tested by con artists, external and internal ones. Which behaviors impede evolution and which foster it?

February 22 Wednesday
With this Pisces Moon there is evidence of our interdependency as a community. Help comes from many directions. There’s an emotional push and pull towards unity. The ideal of such oneness is not found in the physical world but in the inner realms. When it is discovered it flows outward in the form of compassion and service to others. Such a form of love is in all of us, and at times becomes frozen and needs to be thawed. Strong emotional reactions like sympathy can be the heating element. The Moon goes void of course at 7:24 pm, MT, for over twenty-four hours of rinsing off sensitive Pisces.

February 23 Thursday
We have a void of course Pisces Moon until this evening. Throughout the day we may feel overwhelmed by emotions. Such a condition can rinse off solidified falsehoods and help us see our innermost vibrancy, the part of us that endures no matter how hard we are beaten by tidal waves of sensitivities or insecurities. A problem today is that we may be easily swayed or deceived by sentimentality. A voiding Moon can, however, present ideal circumstances for searching for that part of us that transcends confusion and other difficult experiences. We can encounter the archetypal human in us. The Moon enters bold Aries at 7:48 pm, MT.

February 24 Friday
The Aries Moon helps us at the beginning of this Moon Cycle to put things in new contexts. Today we can easily change the way we look at situations. Problems can become triggers that bring out the best in us, perhaps some special skill that we excel at yet it may have required standard repetitive patterns of behavior. Conditioning that keeps some people in hardened ruts. Rearranging our perspectives on such behaviors can help us to see them differently. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

February 25 Saturday
The persistent Aries Moon enters her crescent phase at 2:45 pm, MT. This phase often begins with a struggle to pursue some impulse that has emerged over the past four days. For this lunation that has to do with a crystallized habit that preserves either our best or our worst traits. We need to single that out and assess it. The Moon moves into Taurus at 7:29 am, MT, Sunday, providing us with some means of getting over obstacles preventing us from moving into new territory. Taurus offers some down to earth, yet magically realistic, give and take which can support valiant effort to proceed.
