Gibbous and Full Moon

April 2 Monday
This Leo Moon in her first quarter phase shines multiple spotlights into our subconscious mind, and impulses arise to have fun in ways hardly ever expressed. Sometimes playfulness is the best way to tease something to the surface even if what is revealed was not expected. Also humor can hold things together at times when other kinds of glue cannot. Listening to the messages from one’s heart and sharing them lightly, as in without egoic ownership, can take one beyond the limits of personal identity. Giving pleasure to others brings mutually shared cheerfulness and joy!

April 3 Tuesday
The Leo Moon entered her gibbous phase at 6:25 am, MT, announcing that it is time to gather all of the strands of information about one’s ego into a whole picture. This phase is for finding missing pieces to display that ground and center oneself. At 7:47 am, the Moon begins to void herself of extravagant Leo for six minutes. At 7:53 am, she moves into choosy Virgo, and we may feel like we are living up to higher aspirations. In the afternoon subconscious truths try to break into our consciousness. What do they say about our motivations and our egos? Such information is fuel for a serious internal dialogue.

April 4 Wednesday
This Virgo Moon brings out our little personal routines, and their importance to us may be loosened up from our subconscious minds with Mercury having gone direct early this morning. It may take, however, some give and take between our instincts and rational thoughts to really get into the spirit of the day which is a mix of simplicity and fancy. Mercury, the messenger of the gods, and Virgo, a sign about service, go together and tonight the Moon transmits how much Mercury, when it was retrograde, was psychically tuned into collective interactions, seeding information telepathically.

April 5 Thursday
The Moon has been voiding herself of reality- based Virgo throughout the night, leaving us feeling somewhat unfocused upon awakening. At 9:32 am, MT, the Moon moves into harmonizing Libra. If we have been gaining more personal awareness of how our egos work, we can get a sense of how they might react to a wish-fulfillment today. Insights can lead to a modification in the use of imagination. And excitement can enhance seeing things in ideal terms. What seems perfect today, however, may take persistence to attain. Fortifying one’s trust can overcome doubts.

April 6 Friday
With this Libra Moon as much confidence as can be conjured up is needed to keep one’s equilibrium as our instincts seem to be pulling us in different directions to handle and express what we feel is the doing of our individuality. At 1:19 pm, MT, the Moon enters her full phase when the rhythm of how we etch out our egos begins to reveal which of and how our motivations get arrested or trapped. What reins in your ego? What do you blame when your ambitions are thwarted? Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

April 7 Saturday
Early this morning the Moon moved into melding Scorpio, offering us a glimpse of how to see similarities in a field of glaring differences. By pursuing the essence of things which we do as defense mechanisms, we can see that the categories we identify them by are mere conveniences. On Sunday our awareness increases of how we shine, or not, in our sphere of influence. The revelations of this full Moon phase take us into a mythic way of seeing the mysteries of some of our emotional patterns. From introspection we can sense how changing a frame of reference can lead to options for expressing oneself.
