New and Crescent Moon

June 18 Monday On this last day of the balsamic phase the Gemini Moon, like the mirror on the wall or crystal ball, can grant us a vision of the personal identity we want others to notice. Today it will take hard work and perseverance to manifest that image. Moodiness and a reluctance to act can stand in the way. One of Gemini’s abilities is to make concentrated efforts to bring ideas, things, or people together. On the down side, this sign can get stuck in a groove that brings about ignoring myriad possibilities easily accessible if the world beyond one’s repetitive actions were explored. June 19 Tuesday At 9:02 am, MT, we have a new Moon in Gemini, bringing up the possibility of showing off a special skill, one that makes your heart sing, and taking it to the limit. The Moon goes void of course with this new Moon for two and a half hours of fanning off loquacious Gemini. During this time we can be inspired about some talent, but we need to listen to internal and external communications very carefully. At 11:34 am, the Moon moves into image-generating Cancer. By staying alert to instincts, we can be sensitive to creative opportunities. Cancer can shelter impulses and build them into something secure. June 20 Wednesday With this Cancer Moon the stresses and strengths of the day are at our side, assisting us in knowing what is required to be productive. Demanding expectations call for careful thinking and concentration. Feelings, however, lighten up, as the Sun moves into tropical Cancer at 5:09 pm, MT, marking the Summer Solstice. With the Moon still in her new phase, spirits are high with appreciation for life’s gifts and the promise of a new season. Freshness and playfulness bubble up, lifting us to envision a fruitful summer. Celebrations on this solstice can offer the experience of a charming volatility. June 21 Thursday Feelings are subdued as we begin the day, trying to choose the wisest course to fulfill responsibilities. Thoughts and emotions get entangled, as the Moon goes void of course at 10:48 am, MT, wanting to hose off the crustiness of Cancer, which will take her eleven hours. It’s best to go with the flow during this time. Uncertainty and vagueness, along with some self-forgetting, are typical experiences with a voiding Cancer Moon. Some of us will naturally withdraw. Others may be taken in with the neediness of the down-trodden, even though it is easy to be duped with this state of the Moon. June 22 Friday The Moon moved into Leo last night, blasting our dreams with elaborate and attractive images! We may feel more confident dealing with the impulses we’ve been receiving about a particular passion. Something’s coming into shape, even though a bit fuzzy. Yet there are quick flashes of clarity about the power of its potential. There’s the chance to make huge leaps, but that may require voicing the naked truth in order to test the feasibility of this opportunity. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. June 23 Saturday The Leo Moon entered her crescent phase at 6:35 am, MT. Persistent effort is now needed to explore and experiment with the passion one feels heart-bound to pursue. This can be somewhat of a struggle. The Moon goes void of course at 4:26 pm until tomorrow morning. During these next thirteen hours, spacing-out may be commonplace, along with some weirdness. Dreams may leave one with a depressing sense of powerlessness or a provocative prescience of awesome changes. On Sunday at 5:42 am, the Moon moves into analyzing Virgo, and we may feel like connecting with people to do some healing work.
