Gibbous and Full Moon

July 30 Monday Yesterday afternoon the Moon entered her gibbous phase when it’s helpful to be concerned with what is needed to culminate this cycle’s theme of sudden emotional renewals after tragedies. Taking in new elements can boost our confidence during this phase. This Capricorn Moon can open the doors to such experiences. Letting go of normal expectations can assist in creating something novel. Unearthly longings can give meaning to brief flashes of inspiration. Yet there can be uncertainty about how to work with them. This is when one’s trust meter is needed. If you don’t have one, create one! July 31 Tuesday With this gibbous Capricorn Moon one’s problem solving skills are required. Today calls for self-sufficiency brought on by a spirit of versatility. It’s crucial, however, to be skillful in new ways that immerge by summoning up the inner part of oneself that knows exactly what to do. This is not a rational approach; it is one which trusts that there is an inner knowing about what is needed. At 5:30 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course until after midnight. While the Moon is sweeping away the objectives of Capricorn, we may feel disoriented. Yet during this time we can acquire spiritual wisdom if we withdraw from external goals. August 1 Wednesday We start the day with an Aquarius Moon comparing and figuring things out, wanting to find the connections that make all the difference. The Aquarius Moon re-visions things to keep up with current scenarios. At 9:27 pm MT, the Moon is at her fullest light, entering her full phase. Sudden realizations can begin to whirl through us about how protection comes during tragic moments. Such revelations for some may be about how one gets entrapped in a lower plane of reality. For others they may be about how greater forces come to the rescue. There can also be an emptiness waiting to be filled. August 2 Thursday This Aquarius Moon is vigilant, waiting for action, impatient with the ebb and flow of the usual routines. Urges appear from out of the blue to break free from the well-worn paths of this week day. We need to be sensitive at this time to inspirations for renovation. It is best to have a versatile stance towards whatever shows up. Aquarius can be adept at updating or replacing a behavior with one that fits the integrity of the existing order. Questioning one’s conditions can lead to breaking out of passivity. Ideas break through one’s unconscious mind. But if we don’t do anything, we return to our familiar old lifestyle. August 3 Friday The Moon is voiding herself of self-observant Aquarius until 7:58 am, MT, when she moves into idealistic Pisces. With the Moon in this sign we may not see things clearly, and the messages of this still full Moon may elude us. It helps to notice what has vitality and wants to thrive. The use of reason and intuition can shift one’s concerns about keeping things as they are. This Pisces Moon wants to stir up change. August 4 Saturday This Pisces Moon can feel a bit overwhelmed, not quite knowing what to do with the insights that come when a foggy mind becomes clear, and one’s essential patterns get flooded with Sunlight. Something has to go. It’s time for clearing out emotional blockages. On Sunday at 11:56 am, MT, the Moon goes void of course until 2:59 pm, washing off the sensitivities and over-reactions of Pisces. Retreating to seek the highest guidance is best. At 12:33 pm, the Moon enters her disseminating phase, a period when we might recognize the smallest details of how we react to devastating situations.
