Balsamic and New Moon

September 10 Monday This Cancer Moon rallies emotional support for team energy and singles out personal power to grasp the complexities of participating maturely as a spiritual being. There are also persuasive thoughts to plunge into a group activity that promises excitement. One can get swept from one point to another in a flow towards a new phase of existence, giving free reign to emotional expression. For Cancer that could mean leaving the shielding of one’s habitual comfort zone to cultivate a feeling of family with mere acquaintances or even strangers. Cancer can make things complete, can mend the rips and holes in any relationship. September 11 Tuesday With this Cancer Moon we might feel a bit down in the dumps, reluctant to challenge the status quo. It can get better if we marshal up the force to introduce a new experience in relating to others, one that extends into the spiritual realm. The Moon goes void of course at 3:58 pm, MT, for five hours of washing away the defense mechanisms of Cancer. This can be disorienting, bringing up feelings of abandonment or disconnection. Subtle nuances can easily be distorted. It’s an ideal time to cocoon and actively imagine something fun to do tonight. At 9:00 pm, the Moon moves into playful Leo. September 12 Wednesday The Leo Moon enters her balsamic phase at 6:37 am, MT. This is the beginning of the end, the transitional time between cycles when everything we’ve dealt with along with the emotional states involved get used to envision a new state of being. The next evolutionary step will need the spiritual bonds addressed in this present cycle. Making connections and learning through them can bring new understanding. Some of us may feel conflicted between dominating others or submitting to their demands or needs. Yet friendliness and team spirit can prevail. September 13 Thursday With this Leo Moon things are being drawn together, displaying lots of potential, enough to convince one to break free from the past, to cut old ties. There’s an innovative spirit that is being kept in check somewhat until there’s assurances that one is acting properly. Yet the Leo part of one’s chart can exhibit impatience to have one’s way. Leo can be excessively willful and often, if thwarted or powerless, is enraged. Leo does, however, have the strength to mobilize and create a path to hidden dreams. It’s as if angels are pulling all the strings. September 14 Friday The Moon is in specifying Virgo, offering us a glimpse of what tomorrow night’s new Moon will bring. There’s a sense of things operating on different levels yet how is foggy. Working in the dark can awaken instincts rarely used. They can help to handle complex needs. Following one’s instincts can bring into focus the independence and space needed to be open to the changes presented on a monthly basis. Virgo can hold out against intrusions to the ordinary routines. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. September 15 Saturday This modest Virgo Moon brings daydreams and spacing out as it hides in the Sun’s embrace. At 8:11 pm, MT, we have a new Moon initiating a spirit of playfulness and innocence. How and where in our lives do we experience this? And how do we protect it, keep it healthy, and incorporate it into our lives on a regular basis? On Sunday at 6:55 am, the Moon moves into balance-seeking Libra, and we are nudged with issues of over-sensitivity. The day may be fraught with extreme conflicts between emotional and intellectual needs. This can be exciting and challenging.
