Last Quarter and Balsamic Moon

October 8 Monday The Cancer Moon entered her last quarter phase early this morning and is void of course until tomorrow. It’s time for us to take responsibility for an issue in a relationship. Taking a different stance can help to simplify the situation so that the emotional patterns triggered can be restructured. This can be the beginning of an unusual companionship, one which plugs into many levels of existence and needs. This is a day of investigating the mysteries of social interactions by observing chance meetings. They may hold the key to understanding the value and meaning of this lunation. October 9 Tuesday At 5:55 am, MT, the Moon moves into approval-seeking Leo. We may feel full of energy to restructure a social pattern so that we can attract the kind of ideal group relation we’d like. We can stir up new ventures into emotional entanglements. Observations and perspective come quickly, and we can react rashly. Sudden insights can help us to zero in on details that link us to others while maintaining a level of independence. The Leo part of us gives generously and enjoys synergized public energy. There are, however, sometimes hidden agendas, expectations of some reciprocity or even adulation. October 10 Wednesday With this Leo Moon spontaneity can draw others into participating in a group activity that’s playful, honest, and perhaps culturally rooted, and that alleviates irritability. At 3:40 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course until tomorrow afternoon. While she is putting out the cheerful glow of Leo, we may feel unable to be the center of our field of influence. Some of us can be easily swayed, even deceived by others whose persuasion appears strong. Interactions can be unclear. And thoughts and feelings seem swallowed up in confusion. On the other hand, inspirations can lead to fulfilling creative acts. October 11 Thursday The Moon continues to void herself of the enthusiastic warmth of Leo all morning. Our typical morning reality may be disturbed and need reworking. At 1:23 pm, MT, the Moon moves into helpful, reassuring Virgo. Our personal and social identities may tango with each other. Separating the differences may help in re-orienting our awareness of interacting with people. We may be motivated to work out differences with a balanced perspective. When in a tight spot, Virgo can worry about the worst consequences and somewhat withdraw from tense situations. But to solve problems in social circles requires involvement. October 12 Friday With this balsamic Virgo Moon we may have strong urges to live up to other people’s expectations of us. Agreement is desirable, yet freedom and personal preferences are a top priority. Responsibilities to others can feel like a burden or like being imprisoned. Inward pressures demand a change. The Moon goes void of course at 5:48 pm, MT, for almost twenty-four hours of dusting off the obligations of Virgo. During this time we may feel victimized or duty-bound to relieve others. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. October 13 Saturday The Moon is voiding herself of adaptable Virgo until late this afternoon. Thoughts can be highly visionary and idealistic during this time. Inspirations on previously wished for things can prove to be supportive in the manifestation process. At 5:02 pm, MT, the Moon moves into the balancing act of Libra. On Sunday companionship and wellbeing depend on our ability to go with the flow of the ups and downs, ins and outs of life. Issues show up about getting what is wanted and doing the right thing from many viewpoints. Life is a game, and some of us are motivated to perform excellently.
