New and Crescent Moon

October 15 Monday At 6:02 am, MT, we have a new Moon in equal time seeking Libra. This sign begins with both day and night lasting the same amount of time. This Moon cycle begins with a wakeup call to the real and greater energies that renew and replenish us. They are just as important as the many things we feel compelled to deal with everyday. The Moon goes void of course for twelve hours as this cycle begins, and things get attention indiscriminately. Everything takes on an air of passivity with gentle acceptance. Some will find serenity today; some will feel frustration. For most it will be difficult to be decisive on an issue. October 16 Tuesday The Scorpio Moon brings premonitions of empowerment to create a calm and joyful day. There’s a heady recognition of new impulses awakening into one’s physical being. Some information gathered today elaborates on the meaning of this, and new ideas get generated. Investigating connections to one’s early conditioning may shed more light on the emerging awareness that comes with a new phase. The insights of this day can activate dormant potential. Uncertainty can be lifted by playing the devil’s advocate with doubts. Scorpio can enjoy a good intellectual challenge. October 17 Wednesday The Scorpio Moon is void of course, shedding it thick protective skin until tonight. We may feel ultra-sensitive and vulnerable. Some may even deny these feelings while most of us prefer being low-key, concealing things like swimming underwater with them tucked away. It’s always beneficial to drop into a meditative state during a voiding Moon. The spirit world offers a path to significant figures in our life today. At 6:26 pm, MT, the Moon moves into easy-going Sagittarius, and it may be a struggle to integrate the day’s occurrences in a satisfying way. October 18 Thursday This Sagittarius Moon brings urges to understand and evolve or at least improve some skills. At 11:54 am, MT, the Moon enters her crescent phase. It’s time to take new impulses from the past three days and pursue them to see how worthwhile they may be. Philosophical dilemmas may consume the energy needed to be persistent in this pursuit. We could get lost in projecting our belief on others instead of going after a balanced perspective. Abandoning some well developed pattern of attracting and getting something for one of simply churning up excitement today might be more productive. October 19 Friday With this Sagittarius Moon we may be fascinated with the things we’ve been awakening to, and we may begin to clarify how they are related. At 2:27 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course for five hours of smothering the zeal of Sagittarius. We can lose ourselves in unrealistic expectations during this time and spread ourselves too thin. At 7:41 pm, the Moon moves into goal-oriented Capricorn, but, however, what we are seeking may still not be in a concrete form. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. October 20 Saturday The Capricorn Moon helps with getting organized and making commitments to progress. Insights come today to support working things out with a sense of conviction. On Sunday verbalizing and evaluating feelings can attune us to our desires and the connections we need to achieve them. It is crucial today to commit to a strategy for going deeper into the wellspring of one’s being to celebrate one’s creative spirit. At 9:32 pm, MT, Sunday, the Moon enters her first quarter phase when the development of the game plan begins. She also goes void of course at that time, sweeping aside serious Capricorn for innovative Aquarius.
