New and Crescent Moon

November 12 Monday The Moon is in Scorpio, reminding us of emotional states generated by fears of being hurt. Such feelings can hold us back; they can keep our desires under wraps. Emotional surges bubble up which might be related to issues of trust that never-before-tried behavior just might resolve some issues. Deep urges to confront what might be a resistance to change could be the perfect opportunity to open up and escape some self-imposed prison. Scorpio can easily feel betrayed and quickly shut down and detach, remaining in the same old stuck space. Freedom comes with great effort. November 13 Tuesday The Scorpio Moon can be intense, possessive, headstrong, competitive, and obsessive. It helps to have an outlet to release feelings when the Moon is in this sign. The new Moon at 3:08 pm, MT, brings up impulses to indulge in a relaxing or letting go activity. What do you do to shake off wound up feelings? And what comes to mind today that would be a calming and satisfying indulgence? Also what can you rely on to ease your mind and pacify your emotions? Later in the day we can mobilize forces to justify even the craziest plan to escape into a blissful state of being. November 14 Wednesday The Moon is in Sagittarius, and we may feel like we’re emerging from a dark space, becoming aware of what’s surrounding us in a new light. Overreactions may be a common response until the reality becomes clear. A magical calm can settle upon us, unless we’re overextending ourselves and draining our energy. What’s called for is the integration of our emotional states with our spiritual wisdom. Can this be done in the midst of horsing around, recklessly abandoning self to feelings, and taking care of personal and social needs? Remember this new Moon phase is for collecting data on how you ease stress, especially with others. November 15 Thursday With this Sagittarius Moon there’s a grandiose, ostentatious spirit which transcends boundaries. There are opportunities to change social needs, to confidently state what one can do to escape the pressures and stresses of daily life. Fitting in yet being a risk taker will take some insight into the human conditions we all share. Equality seems a bit threatening to personal needs. Group dynamics can bring on claustrophobia. It can feel like we’re heading somewhere with the brakes on. Impatience can set in with a lot of generalizations about motivations and emotions. November 16 Friday The Moon is in Capricorn, reminding us that when life gets too serious, it’s time to let off steam. We may feel inhibited this morning, but relief might come from some incongruous, out-of-the-blue intrusion. This is an opportunity to shift into some brighter conditions. At 8:07 pm, MT, the Moon enters her crescent phase when we can take note of the effort we put into getting pleasure out of group participation and what it takes to maintain it. November 17 Saturday With Saturday’s Capricorn crescent Moon, we may feel hesitant or uncertain about the way we deal socially with stress relief. As we ride the emotional currents in group dynamics, we may find ourselves alternating amidst shifting moods. Getting people to match your feelings can be an uphill climb, yet worth it. The Moon releases the stiffness of Capricorn during the night and moves into friendly Aquarius at 5:10 am, MT, Sunday. It can be easy to get compatible companions to go along with some quirky activity for the fun of it. For everyone to play along, each will need to take on the perspectives of the others, a bit like role-playing.
